Look at A Weighty Problem 8.4. The target is back to the left under the left ledge. I don't know how some of you got that level but mine came down on the left ledge and as it eased over his arm or leg hung a little and the doll swung left to hit the target. That is what happens on Big Dipper. The tip of the dipper gets a little beyond the left edge of the reset button. From the ledge to the reset button is the width of a doll. Every now and then the doll will do what it did in A Weighty Problem and ease over the ledge and swing left a little. The doll has to practically come to a stop and then fall over the ledge. There are a few positions the doll will crawl in. Mine looked like a guy in the starting blocks for a race with his feet at the ledge. He slowly backed off. When he does that it's a straight drop and he can make solid contact with the dipper if it's timed right. Unfortunately the timing is up to the Ragdoll and not us.
Diversion I don't recall exactly where I aimed but one doll was able to to move the ball until it hit the button which forced the diverter to move left. The doll itself had bounced off the ball and landed left of the cannon. This approach seemed impossible until someone (qambler I think) suggested that I should not hit the ball with full force.
Have I mentioned that I love this freaking game? Once again, there is more than one strategy because mine was to hit the ball as hard as possible at the spot where, if I were to actually throw a ragdoll at a steel ball is space, it would transfer the most force (an approach that failed miserably for Grinder 2, I might add). I don't have my exact screenshot, but if you want something close PM me. I really enjoyed getting this in one. It was challenging, but not tiresome. Sometimes the gallows don't move at all, sometimes only a bit and just enough times they creep to the target stream. I'm sure we all have a variation of the "c'mon, little gallows" I would say to myself if I thought it had enough speed to make it to the stream.
Update Hmmm...Ragdoll 2 #10 Top Grossing on iTunes right now and #16 Top Paid. How bout an update Backflip?
Argh...I'm stuck again! Ok, so now I can't get past the Dominoter stage. Heck, even my 11 year old daughter who's excellent at games and math couldn't do it. Can anyone help?
I am blown away by all of you. I'm not even close to contemplating shaving dolls yet, as I am still 6 levels off even finishing the game! I just wanted to say thanks for all the tips! It's been really helpful in some of the more challenging levels!
Aim bottom right and everytime you land on top of a pillar jump to next one. You will figure rest out. It is possible in 3 but that's a different thing entirely. Gl
Interceptor Has anyone played around with Interceptor for a one? One time I watched the doll rebound off the dynamite and roll off screen in the same direction as the target. I left it on all night to see if the doll crawled the miles and miles it would need to find the target laying on the ground (if it ever does). When I woke up the doll had crawled back into the frame. I decided to shoot again until I could get the doll to remain in the frame so I would know if he was crawling the correct direction. He went half way from the cannon to the edge of the screen and stopped crawling. Something's up with this level because the reset button doesn't turn red. When the dynmite has blown and the target is gone what else could you do? The reset button should turn red as it does in all the other levels when the target is out of reach.
This one is not luck. Here's a hint: you need to hit a perfect shot. Clever group, that Backflip gang.
Yes, I have played with it! I noticed the same thing that the reset button does not turn red after the target disappears (I have not seen that in any other level). I have tried the same two different strategies you describe: 1) Leaving it so that I can see the doll craw to the left after the target, but it stopped half way through the screen. 2) Shooting the bomb so that the doll rolls off the screen to the left (it is actually quite easy to do that by shooting at the left side of the gap where the bomb is) and waited hours for it to crawl to the target. It has never crawled back for me, so either it stayed or it didn’t crawl far enough. None of these strategies have worked for me… yet!
Interceptor Problem with this level is that I don't think dolls count when they leave the screen, but who knows. Try firing dolls up and blasting the target immediately behind. A hit on target only seems to register when it occurs on screen. Maybe the target will roll back on screen after a reaaalllly long time? Otherwise, I think the reset button thing is just a glitch.
Hmmmm...maybe. It connects approx 1cm off screen, but any further than that I've never had a hit. I remain skeptical. Someone prove me wrong. Edit: Maybe there is hope...If Bill did get a doll to crawl back into the screen, I suppose a slight chance remains.
Just to be sure I wasn't remembering it wrong I just tried it again. I did a shot where the doll was tumbling to the left out of the screen. He has another one or two turns left in him. When it got right to the edge it did the quick vanish like outside the edge wouldn't register. I sat it down for thirty minutes and just checked back and the doll is 1/3 of the way back into the frame. He had been at least 3-4 doll lengths out of the frame based on the momentum. I haven't tried this much. The first time I did it I shot so the doll slammed straight down. When I noticed it was crawling left I waited and it stopped at the cannon. Later I did it again and the doll was in the middle of the screen. I went to bed and when I woke up it hand moved halfway to the edge of the screen and stopped. I have yet to get it to stop close to the left edge and crawl left and leave the frame, but I haven't done it too many times. I'm going to try again now.
