    I think I have a new doll.

I think Phantom told me about this possibility several months ago but I just missed it by a pixel. On Totter if you shoot straight up you'll notice that the head penetrates the block a good bit. If you gradually move to the left and shoot up the doll will land on the platform next to the cannon. When you shoot there many of the times the board will wobble and the target will fall off on the same side you shoot at. When the target rolls a little left the board and target falls but the target falls faster than the board. When the target falls passed where the doll is on the cannon platform the board is not between the doll and the target. My doll was just falling off the platform at the same moment as the target was rolling by. It doesn't look like it's possible but you can shoot up on the left and land on the platform and get the target to fall off on the left side. It falls right by the cannon on the left. Sometimes when you fire up a few times and then fire up and a hair to the left the doll still passes through the block, every now and then the doll will make contact with the totter and fall right back down on the cannon block.

It reminds me of the level in RB1 whee you had to land the doll on the spring thing just as the target fell by it.

Yes Bill, something similar was discussed a while back even by you (April 17, posts #962 to #965). Phantom X also mentioned it in post #1187. It is a long shot and probably possible (the same way BD and Space Oddity was possible)... ;)

I can get the doll on the platform and get the target to fall on the left easier than getting the ice cube to move right in Quintesson when going for the 2. I've done this twice in the last 5 minutes. I'll let you guys get back to the book of the month club.

Yeah this was discussed in the past. Post 962 Bill mentions trying to get a head through then in 965 I say the way to do it is the slow roll off the ledge.

I actually think Totter is one of only a few new shave possibilities (the only possible new shave???), but Q is right...it's gonna be another lottery win like SO or BD.

Been close a few times with this method, i find it better to have the home button on the right for a slightly lighter shot. A low power shot yields similar results but with the target falling off the other side but harder to get a good doll roll this way.

My New Favorite Drink ! Corpse Reviver #2

As I am here celebrating YAB (Yet Another Birthday) -- I have come to love a NEW(*) drink! Woot! Makes me not care I haven't shaved a doll in weeks ...

    Corpse Reviver #2

    3/4 ounce gin

    3/4 ounce lemon juice

    3/4 ounce Cointreau

    3/4 ounce Cocchi Aperitivo Americano

Scant bar-spoon-ful quality absinthe (see note).

Combine ingredients over ice, shake vigorously and strain into cocktail coupe or pony glass. A garnish is unnecessary, but different recipes call for either a twist of lemon or a real maraschino cherry.

Note: When absinthe was unobtainable, the drink was routinely made with pastis, and a dash or even a rinse in the glass was the call. Good absinthe, though much stronger in alcohol, is far more nuanced, so I prefer a scant bar-spoon-ful in the shaker itself.

(*) New to me -- this drink has been around since the 1930's at least, maybe earlier!

    Hello hello .... hello?

K, did ya hear that echo? It's been waaaay too quiet around here!

Well I'm still dollin, don't know about the rest of you. I know you're out there, so post some news, good, bad or indifferent! Anything irrelevant is accepted too. Lol

I had a super close call on BigD yesterday, the best chance I've seen in how many shots.. xxxx? Most of the dolly body, head, arms were inside the dipper but he was moving a little fast and tumbled out just shy of the target. So I'm encouraged, I believe its there. Waiting. But damn, that was so close. Waaaah! Oh well. I'm used to heartbreak. Remember Dominoooo? Dom was probably worse than JG twice, but the memory's fading. Mercifully.

So perhaps this is a mini rant. Let's hear what's been goin on dollas, rant away, c'mon who's next? Don't leave me hangin out here for days like poor quasi and Stevie.

    I'm still here

Is there really any sense in quoting you Fox, I mean it's two posts ago, with all the avid readers here I'm sure the continuity is implied. As for the memory fading on JG twice it's your memory that's fading cause it was Grinder2 twice, I think Vayduh was the only one fool enough to do JG twice or was it thrice, once was more than enough for me. I'm still hammering away at RC and that effin stalk, wasn't there supposed to be an update? Was that just a rumor or are they taking so long cause they're making many new levels? Wishful thinking. As for the book club I'm currently reading one fish two fish red fish blue fish over and over again, it's a riveting tale of rhyme with little reason. So doll on or or read on or drink on whatever it is you folks are up to out there, peace!

    Warped possible doll?

Just finished the Girl with Tats book trilogy so back to Dollsville!

Anyone had a head go through the upper floor in Warped 5.12 yet?

If so what did it do?

Shoot just right of the upper blue warp mirror at max power.

Wondering if the doll would wobble into the rear of a blue mirror?

i haven't but have been trying for a looooong time.

Puujee has though - didnt work out for him. dont know the details. It was ages ago.

If you can get to the rear of the warp gate though it *should* go through giving you a two.

    good in theory only

It's not terribly difficult to get a doll through that upper warp. All you need to do is punch his head through the floor for a moment. He doesn't need to get stuck. It doesn't do any good...the doll ends up warping to the third vertical warp on tier 2 (the left-facing warp).

Here is where to aim and where the doll ends up:

You are right it is easy - when you know where to aim. Lol

Damn shame it favours that warp gate rather then the one above target.

    Warped out

Yeah, easy- when you know where to aim. Its what I thought too. Ha. And that warp gate would get it up to target zone if the doll had more speed to go across to the next gate. Oh nevermind I see it comes out the backside and hits the wall.
Hey mumbly, good to see you back in Dollsville.

Try shooting two quick dolls in succession at the same spot. The second doll can't activate the cannon if the first one has. The second doll does some interesting things. One of mine came out of the mirror to the right of the target and the second one comes out and ends up in the foreground of that mirror. I've even had it crawl left of the mirror. I keep thinking there may be a combination that will get a two.

Which mirror makes the doll drop on the target? If there is a way to shoot the first two shots so that the first one activates the cannon that shoots to the mirror above the target, maybe the second doll will crawl to the mirror since it will land in front of that cannon.

    I might be onto something

I haven't succeeded yet but it seems possible. See the mirror where the doll is? If you go through that one from right to left the doll comes out on the cannon above the target. I have had the doll stand on its head out on the end of the ledge and it always falls off to the right. When you cut it too close it lands where it did in the screenshot. I have no idea if you can go back through a mirror after you exit it or not. It seems like if you get it far enough out where it will stand on its head for a second and then fall back it might go back through. If it does we'll get a two.

UPDATE. I had one stand on its head for a minute and fall back to the mirror and not go back through.

even if you got to the warp gate above target in 2 you would activate the cannon there surely for a 3 - basically a harder way of doing what you can do to get 3 anyway?

It was for a 2, not a 3. I did one shot that got the doll to go through the mirror as pictured. It did a hand stand on the ledge and then fell backwards. If it had fallen back through the portal and the portal was still live it would still be a 1 when it got to the cannon above the target. You can see on my screen cap above that the doll is there in 1.

If you shoot left with the cannon that is visible at the top of the screencap it comes out of the right mirror in the middle section and goes right to left through the portal where my doll is shown and comes out to activate the cannon above the target. That method takes 2 shots to get to the cannon above the target. I thought if I could get it to come out of that portal where the doll is and get it to land on its head and then fall back through the same portal it would work. Apparently they aren't 2-way portals.

    Music to doll by

Hey we've shared adult beverages and literature but haven't talked music to doll by yet, have we? Not that I recall. I'm diggin the soundtrack to the movie Inception (Hans Zimmer) paired up with SoF. The trip back and forth from the stalk is kinda tolerable. Somehow the music fits that level or I don't notice the mindlessness so much. That's probably it. Regardless, this music is absolutely beautiful.
