I used a method for my 11, 10 and 9 that vayduh gave me, seems to consistently work, let cannon roll back around a quarter of it's diameterafter hitting hedge and then shoot with top edge of cross hair touching right end bottom of menu button. Pm vayduh, sure he has a screen shot.
Geared Up in 2 just curious Now, I know that Geared Up is an easy 1 if you have the patience, but I spent HOURS trying to do it in 2 and although I got close a number of times, I was frustrated to never do it. Just to satisfy my curiosity, exactly how was it possible in 2? Heres the technique that nearly (but never) worked for me: 1st shot at first cog to knock it into position. Doll falls into the water and lands on cannon 2. 2nd shot at second cog. Cog falls into the water followed by the doll. Cog bounces off cannon and starts moving left before knocking the doll back towards the target. With lots of luck, the doll would sometimes drift listlessly into the wheels where it might get snagged and dragged through to hit the target, even though there was no active cog on the top wheel. I achieved this sometimes, but only with more than 2 shots to guide it into position, so I figured it is possible, even though I never succeeded to do it in 2. Is this how it worked?
That is how I got my 2. For some reason I did not find it easy to do in 1. But then I am not good at waiting.
Just have it setup before you go to bed and let it run overnight -- won't take more than 3-4 nights worse case if the setup is reasonable .. <shrug>
I too wasted days of my life on GU in 2, but in reverse order. Shot 1 land doll on top ledge, knock little wheel into gears. Shot 2 at bottom wheel, doll floats up and engages cannon to create force field. First doll would crawl off top ledge, bob up, bump against force field and float left into the active gears, but only at the whim of the ragdoll gods. A few times the doll floated into perfect position but stopped like a stone never to move again. Most of the time dolly just gave me the finger and exited right. I happily gave this up for the so much easier 1. Credit where due: I believe Bill discovered the 2 and Frizz the easy 1.
Thanks Foxtail & Vayduh. It wasn't the first time I squandered hours on a level before reading in this great thread that an easier option was just an overnight session away (Freezer springs to mind). I'm nearing retirement from RB2, but I have to say that I've never played a better game, on any platform. Hats off to Backflip! When's RB3 out?
Rb3 could just be the level editor with community created levels, now that would be something - an infinitely playable game.
Ideas? So which is it? Ridiculously lucky shot from right side of grass block or equally as ridiculous standing cannon stalk on left of grass block in 5. or once in a blue moon flashing red reset at start with only one cannon on stalk or is it descent in 1? Gemified in 0?
Viridian Hey X, since Viridian is the topic lately, how about adding the new levels to the known scores on the first page?
How about Backflip giving us a sub-leaderboard where you can click on the room to get room scores. Then click on levels to get Individual level scores within said room. RIP 254+19
