Wow this game is really amazing! Didn't know this was possible on iOS devices and haven't seen such a game in a while on ios too. It has everything games like DayZ and H1Z1 have, but it also has that Farcry feel! The graphics are just fantastic and it's really fun to explore the island. It's also fun to find out about new crafting recipes and then try to gather the items for them. Your backpack has limited space, so you also need to make use of chests you find in the different buildings. I haven't even really travelled yet, but my time is already sucking away. It's also kinda creepy when night comes upon you and I could barely find the way to my house in the dark. I'm really happy with this new game and I really want to spend a lot more time with it.

No but my phone gets really hot while playing. OddWorld did that too.

Yeah, metal support. That game seems to squeeze every drop of power out of the iPhone, so it's natural for it to get really warm. But no worries, your phone would shutdown in case of real heat problems, before the hardware would get damaged.

Under constant maximum load, the iPhone 6 reaches temps around 43-47 Celsius, but that's nowhere near dangerous for the hardware, and because your hands will also warm up the aluminium case and the case will reflect the heat, you probably get the (false) impression of your phone slightly cooking.

The were also problems with the iOS 8.1 update (if you did via wifi), having the LTE module heating up and drastically shorten the battery life when having a bad connection, so maybe you should install iOS 8.1 again (via PC).

As long as you don't get the following screen, you're fine:

I wouldn't worry much about replayability. It took me few days of gameplay to reach the multiplayer island in the middle and I still have 2 more islands to go. (I'm one of the developers)

HA! I know it! Of course, it's priced over $0.99, so adding a lot of replayability should be appropriate. I mean, you're getting a cup of coffee or a burger for the cash. /sarcasm

    ;)

Back to topic, these guys did the outstanding Sky Gamblers and Battle Supremacy, so there's no reason not to throw the money at them. Looks like we could have a true gem here that could set a new standard for survival gaming on iOS.
I didn't expected it to be that good. FarCry, DayZ and S.t.a.l.k.e.r. are having a love child here.
I even daresay: if Atypical continues putting out this high quality stuff, they could be on the level of the Foursaken devs.
The open world is gigantic. Tons of stuff to explore, find and create. Really cool beasts and monsters.

Well there is some replayability anyway since it keeps track of how long you managed to survive. So as long as you don't manage to finish the game without dying on the hardest difficulty, you can replay it until you do. :p

Let me rephrase that. I meant it as having having an open end. It can have 140 hours plus I don't mean actually picking up the game and playing it after you beat it. More of sandbox like does it have survival where you can do whatever you want without being stuck with a storyline to progress in the game. I usually never finish a game. I like open world type games.

If you noticed, 40+ hours wasn't mentioned from the developers until after that comment anyways.

This game does look so pretty on my iPhone 6. Also it runs very smooth at all.

    Very impressed.

Can anyone run a battery test on ipad and iphones? I'm really curious about how long can i play it before completely drain my iphone battery. I have an ipad 3 and iphone 6, I rather play it on my iphone because of the better graphics and the metal but I assume the battery will die really quick.

So 1 hr and 40 mins for a full charge cycle. Wow, I cant remember any game which does that, including the ones which are consistently connected through 3G/LTE.

Anyone tried it on an iPhone 5 and can tell how it runs?
edit: nevermind. Bought it and it's laggy. Wouldnt recommend to buy it for devices below 5S.
