Why do people complain about the dark tho? If you don't like it why not just sleep? It's supposed to be very dark. That's what gives it such creepy/errie feeling. Especially when one of those medical zombies run out of nowhere!! Freaks the hell out of me!!
Because it is fun to explore at night,but when you cannot see jack,it sucks+enemies spawn more frequently (or predators only)during the night.
Very true. Idk how they plan on making people that like it the way it is and for people that think it's too much. I don't think they're worrying about that too much right now tho.
I hadnt even heard of this game but seeing all the hype I bought it. Lets hope I find time to play it eventually. lol
I think it is far too dark at night. I was in a safe house and could barely find my bed. Another problem is that twilight is far too short. By the time I get the visual cue that it is starting to get dark it happens so fast that there's not much time for me to get out of any building I am in and to a safe house. And it gets so dark you are basically screwed.
ummm, I think that's the point. it _is_ a survival game - it's not supposed to hold your hand if you're scared of the dark or make it a little brighter because we're used to games being nice to us. the earth's rotation plunges the planet into soul-crushing darkness. more predators creep out to suck the life out of my flimsy weak body and I hide like a coward in bed. sometimes I listen for the music to change, sometimes I watch the colors of the scenery turn gold before turning blood red - then I run to escape the impending terror of night. if this is too much for some moist-eyed children gamers, I might suggest Seabeard as an alternative game.
you must slaughter the sacrificial lambs and harvest their gooey warm fat from their corpse. then, with your blood-stained hands, slather it onto wood with cold hard stones. this is how you craft torches and make the world burn.
Nah,it's just fun to KILL and EXPLORE when you can see everything,you know that it is not like you are blindfolded during the night in real life.

I found a katana in a crate and one-whack as many wolves now as I like!! This game has made me fear the night once more!! Ace!
id say bow - 1 shot kill and no chance of bleeding if you keep your distance. also no durability meter and arrows are easy to craft
Found a bug. I switched from my spear (I had ten) to a pick axe you can only find in crates or enemy drops as you can't craft it. After picking at the rock lump ,made of small rectangular pieces clumped together, my spears were no longer there. ???
You can drop the condescending attitude. From a gameplay perspective, if it gets dark so fast that you can't really react to it, that's a problem and unrealistic. If it's so dark that you can't find your own bed that's a problem and unrealistic. If you want to have an adult discussion, great. If not, then go play in the dark.
