hello, I have just noticed that all the games from Radiangames have been pulled from the French app store. the games have been also removed from my purchased list !
I can confirm they are gone from the US AppStore. I'm going to go out in a limb and be positive about this. They must be preparing for the coming apocalypse. Pulling the games before they stop working and rerelease them as they are updated. Fingers crossed.
If we think in a positive way, we can expect the new game OVERLOAD to be released in addition to a update of all the games in 64 bits. IMO should be happen on 11th of May. What is worrying me is there is no news on their website since last year. Let's cross the fingers. I do love their dual stick shooters.
Yes, coolpepper, yes I am. Radian makes great games and Inferno 2 is one of my favorite twinstick shooters, but I'm choosing to be positive and trust that a well respected developer wants his games to stay alive and has a plan. Time will tell.
Their Apple developer license lapsed, so everything got removed automatically. Sounds like they plan on updating them eventually but they sell so poorly there's no urgency. Currently working on this for Stream- http://www.radiangames.com/would-you-like-to-play-a-game/
Never thought this happened on iTunes it's one of my biggest annoyances on the Google Play store I don't know how many apps and games I bought that simply vanished afterwards but it must be a at least a dozen and it's the reason I stopped buying anything there. Sometimes they would reappear but I was expected to rebuy them because it had a new ID or something? madness and really annoying. I thought Apple had this part right I can remember you could even download stuff that wasn't sold anymore there, has that changed.
Digital mediums are just bad for anyone looking to archive things. Most of the Radiangames titles were released in 2012-2014, giving you 3-5 years worth of play time for your buck. Sucks, but, it is what it is.
Contact Apple for a refund. From the sounds of it in talking to Radiangames, this will be a problem for no one.
Make sure you create a backup of your I-device, don't delete the game, and don't upgrade to iOS 11 when it is released this fall. iCloud is not supported with most Radiangames but it's always good to back up your stuff.
When my iPhone 6 died (uh, becuase I accidentally took it into the ocean), I found out when I got my replacement (an iPhone 7) that all the lamasoft games are gone too. This aspect of iOS sucks. Fortunately I'm just not into mobile games much any more anyway, but of course this can happen with other types of apps too.
