[Upcoming] Rabi-Ribi (by CreSpirit, GemaYue / Sekai Project)

Dodge bullets, missiles and lasers in battle as you wrap your head around that bunny girl costume! Combo away with your mighty Piko Hammer or spam various spells from afar with your fiery fairy friend. Explore and explode through Rabi-Rabi Island as you collect power-ups and uncover secrets...

There never quite seem to be enough bunny girls in the world, so here is another for you aficionados out there. This 2D sidescrolling exploration platformer follows the adventure of Erina, whose humdrum life as a regular rabbit is turned upside-down when she finds herself in an unknown world and turned into a human (with rabbit ears)!
Along the way she meets the cheerful pink-haired fairy, Ribbon, who mysteriously chooses to stay by Erina’s side.
These unwitting heroes embark together on their quest to restore Erina’s life to normalcy, but who knows what troubles lurk, waiting for them…

Rabi-Ribi is a 2D exploration platformer that focuses on non-linear gameplay. There will be hints to guide the player along, but they’re never required to follow them, which allows for much greater freedom to—you guessed it—explore.
Players will play as our protagonist Erina, who focuses on close quarters combat. Ribbon the fairy is the ranged attacker who follows Erina’s lead, indirectly controlled by the player.

Erina may be a little rabbit that was turned into a human, but that doesn’t stop her from being capable of some pretty neat moves.

Both Erina and Ribbon’s abilities can be improved by learning new skills and attacks through collecting items and upgrades that are spread throughout the world.
What trinkets and skills to pick up is up to the player; dare you challenge hard mode without any items?

    – Retro exploration platformer featuring a bunny girl.
    – 4+n difficulty settings for all types of players.
    – 9+ main areas and 20+ sub-areas to explore.
    – Bunny.
    – Over 60 items and upgrades.
    – Over 20 fully illustrated characters with cutscene illustrations.
    – 40+ boss battles, 1000+ attack patterns with Boss Rush Mode to fight some or all of them in a row.
    – Post game story and content with speedrun mode which takes out every section of the game where the player cannot control the main character.
    – Over 50+ pieces from an original soundtrack.
    – English, Chinese and Japanese support.
    – Bunny.

    A Look Into Rabi-Ribi
In Game Overview (by Sekai Project)

Erina is just a normal bunny that loves her master, Rumi, and her home, the peaceful Rabi Rabi island. However, one day, she wakes up to find herself in an unknown world and…turned into a human (with rabbit ears)?!

Along the way she meets the cheerful pink-haired fairy, Ribbon, who mysteriously chooses to stay by Erina’s side. These unwitting heroes embark together on their quest to restore Erina’s life back to normal, but who knows what troubles lurk, waiting for them…

Rabi-Ribi is a stylishly-cute 2D exploration platforming game that tells the story of Erina as she tries to reunite with her master and tries to figure out why she suddenly transformed into a human.

The focus of the game is placed on non-linear gameplay. There will be hints given on where the player could go, but it’s not really required to follow those hints. You can follow along, but greater emphasis is placed on exploring as many areas as you can.

There will be some areas that you can’t initially reach or get through with your current abilities or items. No worries! It’s best to move on until you can acquire the skills to get through the unreachable area. You can always return to previous areas by either backtracking or warping from one area to the other by visiting a Warp Destination.

As you keep on exploring the areas, you’ll find new weapons and abilities that will allow you to defeat enemies and wander through hard-to-reach areas. There are over 60 items and upgrades to get in this game, so the more items you collect, the more powerful of a bunny will Erina become!

Once you acquire an ability or weapon, if you use it to eliminate enemies, it’ll level up and unlock new capabilities to make you an unstoppable force. If you want the most powerful weapons in your arsenal, remember to constantly use your abilities and weapons!

    [IMG][IMG]

Erina and Ribbon have different abilities that complement one another. Erina specializes on close quarters combat, while Ribbon uses ranged attacks, making them a killer team! While you can freely control Erina, you can only really control Ribbon’s attacks.

If you pause the game, you can check out some useful information that will aid you in your journey, such as Erina’s and Ribbon’s current moveset complete with their input commands in the ‘Status’option.

HMM…DOESN’T THAT BOX DESIGN LOOK FAMILIAR…?

You can also check out Erina’s and Ribbon’s items that you have acquired so far and how many to get to complete your collection.

Feeling a bit lost on where to go? You can check the ‘Diary’ option to see what main tasks need to be done in order to progress with the story. You can also access the tutorial messages if you need to brush up on how to do a particular move or action.

When you complete a number of main tasks, you’ll be faced with boss battles. The battles are in a bullet hell style, where you have to avoid a barrage of the enemy’s attacks while trying to fight back. Attacks will range from beams being shot in your direction, homing bullets, fireworks, bombs thrown all over, and much more. Best your foe by using your acquired weapons and abilities!

The bosses may be incredibly challenging, but you’re no slouch! If you manage to continuously damage your enemies, you’ll start building up a combo meter that’ll start from Rank E and can go up to Rank A. Get it to a high rank, and you’ll get some buffs that will help you out in a pinch!

Will Erina uncover the mystery as to why she’s now in human form? Who could have done this? Will there be more trouble ahead for her and Ribbon as they get close to their answer? Find out in Rabi-Ribi, on sale at Steam!

Can’t get enough of Rabi-Ribi? We’ve got you covered! You can also get the game’s Original Soundtrack and the Digital Artbook.

Rabi-Ribi’s Original Soundtrack has 50 catchy and mood-setting tracks by 3R2, Triodust, MWT.Waiting and Laozi. Each track blends well with each area that you enter, let it be in the calm Rabi Rabi town, or whenever you face an intense boss battle. With fantastic tunes such as the ‘System Interior II‘ track, or any of the ‘Final Boss Battle‘ tracks, the music certainly adds to the game’s overall package to make it unique!

Sure, Rabi-Ribi‘s Digital Artbook features art…but it offers much more than that! It has over 100 pages of art and screenshots covering almost everything Saiste, Waero and GemaYue have drawn for Rabi-Ribi! It also includes all character wallpaper backgrounds. Along with that, it also includes developer commentary on character settings, changes in development, and artists decisions on what to change with some of their pieces. You can also mess around with the in-game portrait viewer, which allows you to mix different characters’ facial expressions. But best of all, the Digital Artbook has…playable content?! That’s right, you can play several game modes, characters, difficulty settings and boss battles that never made it into the final game. This is a must-get for any Rabi-Ribi fan!

You can purchase the game, the Original Soundtrack and the Digital Artbook separately, but if you want all three, the best value for your money is to get the UPRPRC Edition that has all three components for a discounted price.

Check out Rabi-Ribi and why people are raving about it:

    [Review] Rabi-Ribi (by YouNa)

At the time of the Kickstarter, the developer created Rabi-Ribi because there was no game where the bunny girl was the hero. This simple yet funny reason is the background behind the birth of Rabi-Ribi, which has overwhelmingly positive reviews in its current Steam evaluation.

Rabi-Ribi is a 2D Action Platformer / Bullet Hell Game developed by CreSpirit & GemaYue and published by Sekai Project. The main character Erina was originally a rabbit, but suddenly became a female human in a bunny costume. At the same time, mysterious problems arose in the village of Rabi-Ribi. In addition, Erina's master Miru is also missing. The main storyline of this game is to venture out to find your master. In this adventure you will also meet another playable character named Ribbon who is a fairy.

The main feature of this game is that it's a 2D side-scrolling / RPG shooting game based on the Metroidvania playstyle. In addition, some of Rabi-Ribi's gameplay seems to be inspired by the Touhou Project games. Despite this, the originality of Rabi-Ribi itself is always fully present.

In this game you can get stronger by using game money that you receive from defeating your enemies. Since there are some grinding elements, players can enjoy this game without getting bored. Moreover, through its unique combat system and numerous boss battles, players will become more immersed in the game.

This game is a user-friendly game that considers the player above all else. A variety of difficulty levels are available and the tutorial allows players to learn the game easily. But it is ultimately a game that will be difficult to master. And even though the game was released in 2016, it's still a great game with new content updates. So if you haven't played Rabi-Ribi yet, you're definitely missing out. It's a game that will be well worth your time.
