I had one hiccup with it since the update, but ever since then everything is running really well and super quick. I have also deleted all my games on my list except for the games I have installed on my phone and Apple TV, to make it run even quicker. It's really good to be able to compete for high scores again. #
Shoot, I got careless and broke GC on my iPad mini (transferred Heroes & Castles game progress from iPhone). Anyone happen to have the post # available for the quick fix? (I've previously used the lengthy version which was to do encrypted back up to computer and reset to factory settings and restore from the computer backup, which fixed GC on my iPhone & iPad Pro, but doesn't keep apps in folders so takes me forever to get it all sorted and I'd like to try avoid that again)
Are you saying Apple will have the permanent fix in the next beta build of 9.3.2? This seems to be the first time an iOS update has fixed the issue (even temporarily), so it's a step in the right direction. Curious if they're sticking with it and tying up the loose ends. This is very relevant to my interests, curious if at some point I can tell players that the public beta fixes GC.
Hi everyone, One of my contacts at Apple has asked me if anyone is still having the GameCenter issue while running iOS 9.3.2 beta that was released April 6th. If you are seeing the bug still and you have iOS 9.3.2 beta, please let me know. A simple reply to this thread is enough.
I installed iOS 9.3.2 beta on 3 devices...an iPad Air 2, an iPad Mini 1, and an iPhone 6 Plus. It's been a few days now and Game Center has been working on all devices. I did not delete any apps, old or new. I have all the same apps I always had. So far so good!!! Keeping fingers crossed.
I can finally upgrade my iPhone 5! I've been on iOS 8.4 since this thing started and didn't want to upgrade until it was fixed. Now I just need to decide between the 6s and the SE.
Installed 9.3.2 last night and Game Center is working better than ever. I can now actually open the app itself and see what my friends are playing. Cautiously optimistic!
A question for Hippieman or anyone else who once had the dreaded bug before the recent fix: If you own a game that is no longer available on the App Store but it is in your previously purchased list, are these games safe to download and use with Game Center? (I have 9.3.2 beta.)
Thanks Roger! It's great to be back. Hope you feel better now that you cheated and took advantage of my absence
I'm not advising it for others but I'm running some pretty old games that aren't even in the store anymore, with no problems.
Well, this sucks. I'm on 9.3.1 and I have never had an issue with Game Center, until now. I just purchased Warbits. It doesn't show up when I search for it in the App Store but I followed the link on the front page to purchase it. I launched it and it said I wasn't logged into Game Center. I opened Game Center, only to be greeted by the dreaded white screen. I have no idea what caused it and I have installed some other apps/games in the last couple of days. I checked Game Center on my iPad Pro and it was working fine. I installed Warbits on it and it continued to work. It's late now, but tomorrow I'm going to try a fix I just read about in this thread which suggests to restore the device as new, launch Game Center and, if all goes well, restore the backup.
I may do that but I don't want to break any of my existing apps. I was just about to edit my post to say that I took the easy route and did the airplane mode fix and, so far, Game Center is working. If I don't update to the beta, I can deal with this until 9.3.2 is released.
