I had TestFlight games installed, but no outside region games installed. After the wipe, I actually set my iPhone back up as "new", so manually installed ALL my games, including TestFlight. Took ages, but I guess it never hurts to do a clean wipe, right? lol
iPhone 6 iOS 9.3 beta 4 Game Center doesn't work. Blank white screen when I open Game Center, Game Center in settings freezes the app, loads of games don't work such as deemo and much more. It's been 5 months yet Apple hasn't done anything. Tried around 10 restores via a pc without backing up and this issue still happens.
After fo some unknown reason gc started working for me i deleted all games from gamecenter exept one. It worked for a week and now its broken again and i have only 1 game in gamecenter and around 10 friends
As I've said, I fixed mine recently by restoring to factory and then from a backup. I had TestFlight before and still have it now with no problems, so far, knock on wood. I do not have any other iTunes accounts or games from other regions.
Short term solutions ... possible link to low power mode So I had this problem most notably in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, where the game would stick on the loading screen because of the "Game Center bug" For the first several times, a simple hard reset of device (6sPlus) would fix it. Then, about 2 weeks ago I reached a stage where nothing would work - I tried all the pseudo-remedies online except the complete nuking of the device and reinstalling - but to no avail. HOWEVER, installing a beta version of iOS 9.3.2 did get me going again ... Until last night; the game restarted while the phone was in Low Power Mode (not sure if relevant) and the Game Center bug struck again; again nothing seemed to fix it so I installed yet another Beta of 9.3; but this time this didn't fix it either. HOWEVER, when the phone was charged enough to be out of Low Power Mode I did manage to get the "switch on airplane mode --> sign out of game center --> reboot device --> switch off airplane mode --> sign IN to game center" trick to work for the first time. So currently, I'm up and running - but we'll see.
Hi Everyone, I've been getting fantastic data, so if I don't reply to you, I"m definitely recording everything and compiling it. I have another ask of everyone. See if you can get the GameCenter settings (on your device launch the Settings app and scroll down to GameCenter) to load. If it loads, at the bottom there is a Developer section (I hope). If Logging is not turned on, turn it on. 1. If it was not previously on, after turning it on, try a GameCenter game or two, then go to the next step. 2. Press the "Export Logs" button. It'll ask you to describe the problem, just type "Not loading" or "Not working". 3. After you press OK, it'll take several seconds for anything to happen. On my phone it takes about 40 seconds. 4. Eventually a popup will show up that says something like "GameKit Logs. Logs have been sucessfully captured and stored in this file: GameKit-Log (Not working) (2016-02-24 at 15-54-34 (CST)).zip" Now OSX: 1. Connect your phone to your Mac 2. In iTunes select your device at the top 3. At the very bottom right corner of the iTunes window there is a "Sync" button. Press it. 4. Once this is done in the finder go up to the menu bar and choose Go > Go To FolderÂ… 5. Paste this in without the quotes: "~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/" 6. This should have a Finder window open with 1 or more folders (I have 13 folders for example) 7. Find the folder that is the name of your device 8. ZIP up the entire contents of the folder. 9. Email the contents to me bruce at manuptimestudios dot com Windows XP: 1. Connect your phone to your PC 2. In iTunes select your device at the top (my apologizes, I have no used iTunes on Windows in a long time) 3. At the very bottom right corner of the iTunes window there is a "Sync" button. Press it. (Again it might be elsewhere, we just want to perform a sync) 4. Once this is done find this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\ 6. Inside this folder should be 1 or more folders (I have 13 folders for example) 7. Find the folder that is the name of your device 8. ZIP up the entire contents of the folder. 9. What's sad about this is how long this bug has existed and the ones who engineered this stuff at Apple haven't found a solution. I mean they have to be getting thousands of complaints. And if they want the platform to be taken seriously for gaming, they need to get their sh*t together.
I have had the Game Centre bug a couple of times, even just today and this method has fixed it each time. Sorry if it has been posted already but there are too manys previous posts to read. I have an iPad Pro and a PC. 1)Backup data from iDevice to iTunes. 2)Completely shut down iDevice (press and hold power and Home button together) 3)Then press and hold Home button and while holding connect iDevice to PC with iTunes running on PC. 4)Keep pressing Home button until iTunes and cable connection icons show in iDevice. 5)Release Home button and iTunes on PC will say it wants to install iOS#. There will also be a warning message come up that you can just ignore. 6)After iTunes downloads and completely reinstalls iOS# Game Centre should work again. NOTE: This method will not wipe your iDevice or any apps and games installed. At least it never has for me.
Whenever Game Center stops working on my Air, I simply backup & restore my device via iTunes and my computer. It works everytime, and lasts for awhile, before I have to do it again.
How long usually? I'm on day 18 since a restore and nervous as Hell my GC issues might pop up again any moment.
I just turned off multiplayer&add friends option from Settings-general-restrictions. And problem solved. Add ; Not working again
I just try this: Log out of AppStore in settings, reboot, log back in AppStore, reboot, open app, GC connected. And my GC it's working back for a while, enough time to help me bypass the loadscreen on Implosion: Never lose hope and take back my save file on the cloud. But after that, the GC is dead again. I tried Star Wars: Galaxy of heroes and it's stuck at loading screen again
Same here, I play Star Wars GOH as well and can't load the game.. This is my video if you want to check it out.. Hopefully Apple will do something about it soon.. https://youtu.be/XIgg_PZJshY
Does anyone know in what way this bug is related to how many games you've got on your phone? I noticed that out of all my friends and family I'm the only one suffering this bug. But I'm the only one with a lot of games on my phone (~250), whereas most of them have somewhere inbetween 0 and 5 or so. Also people here on TA, whenever they do a factory reset they say gamecenter works fine, but then later (as they install more games???) it starts bugging out again.
Doesn't relate, I have 1000's of games and I didn't work, then I created a new account and that stopped working as well. Downloading heaps of games breaks it, old games break it, opening the gamecenter app itself breaks it, going into previous purchases list breaks it. Just try and get too the point you can sign out of gamecenter and don't sign in again. Most games including NBA Live will work again.
I've noticed that occasionally GC will log in again... but only during Clash Royale. Has anyone else noticed it logging in sometimes only on specific games?
Any news on this? I appreciate the help from Hippieman, seems he is more willing to help than Apple itself (that will just say to wipe clean your data, as if that is an acceptable solution). I can try taking more info out of my iPhone 6S that shows this issue later when I'm at home. I tried looking for that "Development" section in the game center settings but didn't found them, should I tinker with some other setting somewhere for that to appear? Usually I can get GC to work after a few restarts of the device, but today is one of those days where it just won't work no matter how many times I restart. The only patter that I have seen is that, for me, when it works it keeps working throughout the day, and the next day when I unplug the iphone from the charger sometimes GC doesn't work anymore. Then I go through the restart cycle ritual until it works again, and it keeps working throughout the day. It is starting to get on my nerves, specially the days it just won't work
I'm so confused how nobody has managed to bring this to Apples attention. I can't believe they'd disregard one of their core apps not functioning for thousands of people. Seems very un-Apple-like to me.
Count me as another one baffled by Apple's apparent lack of interest in fixing this. If a full wipe reset of the device fixes the issue, I guess they could AT LEAST provide a tool for affected clients to only wipe Game Center related data and not ALL of the device. I refuse to lose all data on the rest of the apps and my Apple Watch because they are not capable of fixing a very critical bug, that should have for all intent and purposes been a show stopper as it renders unusable a core functionality of the OS.
