sh*t - Roger, this just worked for me, you absolute legend. Restored from backup and i've got GC working - long may it last. Back to Landsliders for me. I was about to put my foot through my phone and send Tim Cook the bill.
I second Lord Gek. I'm willing to do a restore from backup if two people said it works, but I don't feel like starting from scratch again. That already failed once back in September.
Please keep us posted, if still going strong this weekend I'll try it (it's not so much the scores but the losing of all progress in many of my games only to find it was all for nothing).
I am thinking some of it may have to do with the number of games - i only have about 900 games on game center. I think Ramon had several thousand - maybe an issue like that? Maybe just reload your favorites and see if a smaller number survives better?
I think there may be something to this but it appears that GC has records of all games I've ever logged into via GC. On my iPhone, which oddly still has access to GC, I went through and tried deleting ALL of my GC listings...but before I quit out I saw they were all instantly restored (possibly via the cloud or something), so I have no clue how to get rid of all of that history.
I don't know. I always delete games from Game Center when I delete them. It retains the points and data somewhere, but it removes them from being visible in the app. I usually have 40 or less at all times still "connected"
Don't know where to start now. Might go with Twofold or Badland 2 or All is Lost or Tankfinity or Circa Infinity or Dungelot or Air Attack 2 or, Christ on a bike, life was easier without Game Center and it was just Crashlands. It's good to have it back though.
Mostly I have not more than three games on my device, when I am done with a game I deleted it, I don't understand people who have several hundred games on their devices, I would get very nervous and uncomfortable with so many games on my device. I say get those shit deleted, so you can clear your head and sleep better, Ha ha.
Is it a complete factory restore or just a restore from backup and Gamecenter is working again? Might have to restore for the 15th time if it's having success now.
Given the backup to pc / factory reset / recover from pc backup method been tried yet? Seems to be working for all of us as of late and seems to be a long term fix.
Well my PC is in the basement not even hooked up so no I havent tried that yet because the airplane mode thing was working before
