For some reason the appinfo is no longer showing.
It appears you can't post two appinfo's in a row, for Spam purposes I'm sure.

    I'm enjoying Runbot.
I really don't like this 45 degree angle view, though.
It makes some obstacles harder than they should be.

I'm about to grab either Kid Vector or Retro Kami HD.
    Which one should I grab?

I've played Kid Vector a long time ago, and I remember liking it...but I only played it a few minutes.

Hi guys. What have you all been busy playing? Darklings has been taking most if my gaming time, it doesn't fit here but is well worth a look? I've also picked up hundreds and am enjoying that, totally not what I thought it was. Just found this on the boards, looks like it might fit here. I've dloaded but not tried yet.

    Squ4re

The aim of this game is fit square to go trough square shaped holes. It will test your eye–hand coordination. Just be square!

Squ4re is only tilt at the moment, it works, but I hope touch controls get added

Me too, I can't get the hang of the tilt with this one, is it silent for you too? It seems like there's no ads or iap so if touch gets added it'll be brill.

"A superb test of dexterity and left/right brain coordination" - The Guardian "A lovingly crafted flight of fancy ... Toybox asks you to think of mobile play in a totally new way" - Gamezebo Toybox is kinda like rubbing your head and patting your tummy at the same time. Shoot enemy toys on the left side of the screen to earn wooden blocks on the right. Then stack the blocks to explode stuff, power up your ship and earn extra lives. Each side affects the other, so master the interaction and survive as long as you can to get a high score. NEW LEVEL EVERY WEEK Everyone faces the same enemy patterns for a week, giving you the chance to learn them and improve. Then after a week the patterns change—so there's always a new challenge. MASTER AN ALL NEW USELESS SKILL Play a simple shooter with one thumb and a match 3 puzzler with the other. Toybox is easy to grasp—but mastering the interaction between the two parts of the game is a satisfying and original challenge. DARING COMEBACKS Lost your last life? Quick, you’ve still got a moment to pull off a desperate block combo and get back in the game. GENERATIVE SOUNDTRACK Your in-game actions trigger the notes that make up the toy-like melody. ---------------------------- N.B. If you're playing on an iPad, try the "exaggerated" control scheme option. ---------------------------- Enjoy! -Sam and Julian

    Squ4re:
Zero Sound + tilt controls that simply don't work right = InstaUninstall

You guys know how I feel about sound in a game. It's one of the things that a dev should really focus on. It is a key element that immerses you into the gameplay. To release a game with aero sound is lazy and inexcusable at best. If this game had good tilt controls, good touch controls, and a nice soundtrack, it could be amazing.

    Agreed.

It has so much potential, but I can't get the hang of the tilt and this game really needs some sound. Don't think the dev is gonna change controls or add anything more than a few sound effects so not sure how much longer I'll keep this on my device either.

    Love the phrase instauninstall

    Toy box?
    Yeah.
    It's unique.

Idk how long I'll play it, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

I asked this in the dev forum but didn't get much replies/advice so asking here! I was wondering for you guys, what makes a game "quick and hard/impossible genre"? For eg:

    1. How long should such a game be? Is 5 mins play (per session/level) too long?
    2. Should there be an end game or is it ok to make it impossible to complete/endless?
    3. Are game achievements and leaderboards crucial to such a genre?

Want to know your thoughts because I'm making a game (a shmup boss fight!) that I consider to be "quick, hard and fun" and would like to hear your general opinion about this "genre".

    Thank you!

    1) I think 5 minute levels are fine for me, But I'm not sure that would be considered "quick"
    2) I think endless is fine, but not necessary. I prefer endless games to have a level based campaign mode, so ideally, I think a game in this genre should offer an endless mode and a campaign mode.
    3) yes and no, achievements aren't necessary, but are great to have. Leader boards, IMO, are a must have feature for a good arcade high-score game. Half of the fun is challenging you GC friends scores.
