From cygnets list I have Kung fu rabbit, trauma Ted, gravity duck and sheep go left, love them all but gravity duck is probably the one I've played the most. Not sure they count as twitchy but they do get difficult and are enjoyable. Just spent an hour or so playing through don't look back. Thanks to whoever recommended it, was great fun, really difficult in places and totally free with no ads. Great fun. I couldn't decide between forget me not and 14px so I ended up getting both.
Don't look back was me One of my all time favorites. Terry cavanaugh's game. He also did super hexagon and VVVVVV

"good news everyone'" (the professor). after speaking with the developer of Mad Agents, Startled Monocle, I was told that even though the app was pulled, it will be re-released very soon with many additions, one of which will be multiplayer. this is a great game that falls into this thread. having played it already, I can say that it's a very fun retro inspired platformer. I've gotta say, I'm really excited for its re-release and I cannot wait for it!
I'm trying the free version of OTH and while it's really fun, I'm experiencing tons of lag. Like the game will freeze for seconds at a time. I'm on iPhone 4; anyone else experiencing this?
Hey Bronx, can Geomerty Wars be played on mute? I sometimes play at night when my wife is sleeping. Actually I am usually on mute during the day too. (At work)
I'm not sure. Don't have Geometry Wars.' --- 45 pages and no mention of Jet Car Stunts? Anyone else think that game would count here?
Oh, also not sure. But isn't playing without music detrimental to the whole rhythm-based platforming?
Just curious how many built in levels is in Geometry Dash. The lite version was actually pretty fun and didn't frustrate the heck out of me. ;-)
Yeah, you can play it on mute, but the music is really what sets the rhythm and tempo of the game. So, it just kinda wouldn't be as fun without sound. Ironically, I stuck up for a game that didn't have sound recently, but there's some games that the sound IS the game (or at least a big part of the experience). I hear ya though Cygnet, I do a lot of my gaming on mute with the wife around (or sneaking in a game at work ). I just know to keep games like Geometry Dash for when I know I can crank it up.
Headphones I think every iGamer should have at least a decent pair like the $50 ATH-M30's. The iPad and iPhones speakers suck. You should never play games without sound, and never play on those horrible iSpeakers. The sound is an important part of the game's experience - Not just geometry dash, but most every respectable game. For any iGamer who doesn't have at least a decent $50 pair (and not the BS at Wal-mart), I recommend putting 1/2 of your games budget away until you get the money to get some. You'll be glad you did. Its a great investment for iGamers. Just my opinion. But I'm a musician who's done scores for games before...so, I'm a bit biased. If anyone does decide to grab a pair of headphones, I'm a headphone aficionado (read: Im addicted and collect them like I collect games), and ill gladly help you make a good decision as to what pair is right for you depending on your budget and preferences Edit: this game doesn't belong in this thread I know, but its amazing and isn't getting any love. Pathogen just went on sale for a buck. If you like strategy, it is great and it has one of the best MP experiences I've had. Also, I bought Box Cat last night. Great game, but I don't think its in this category. So, should we consider putting links for all of those games
Not sure if it's been mentioned in this post yet, but my game, Krashlander, fits this description pretty well: iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/krashlander/id506429660?mt=8 Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGiN5vLbMh8
You didn't read all 450+ posts? I love krashlander. The physics are a bit hard to get used to, but its a good game. @Bronxsta: the port to ios isn't perfect, but I think the list is incomplete without Mrs Splosion Man. Also, would I be wrong to suggest Pac Man? @cloudpuff: ahhhhHhHHHhhH!!!! I just doubled my high score in Critter panic, and beat yours with just over 65K, but I was playing in airplane mode to avoid the ads...so it didn't go to GC. For some reason I figured it would save them. I guess that's what I get for trying to cheat the ads. ahh well. I know it doesn't count. Guess ill have to do it now with ads on. Does anyone know if the paid version uses the same leader boards? Ill gladly pay to remove the ads, but I don't really want to change Leaderboards.
Absolutely agree, everyone should get this. Really neat controls and challenging (but fair) gameplay. I actually recommend playing on the elite mode because it uses real physics, rather than the easier modes which tone down the physics by letting you change direction/control more in air. I found those modes to be more difficult to control since I wasn't used to those modified physics. Plus the elite mode feels more rewarding!
This game isn't "Twitchy", but it is very challenging! It has gameplay similar to Fantastic Contraption 1/2, Bad Piggies, & Incredipede. Don't let the cute graphics fool you.
