The list... is long. Mostly because in the morning I check TA forums, then several other forums and I download... and download... ) I am currently addicted to... wait for it... prepare to laugh... Pocket Trains. Yes, you heard me. But I loved transport tycoon, love trains, my dad had model trains and then sold them(selfish prick) so this game rubs me the right way somehow ) I have 80 something games waiting to be synced to my ipad and tested out. I usually do one or two paragraph reviews on NoSleepMustPlay.com And I play a lot from a game designer/developer point of view @CloudPuff - You should charge your family iTunes vouchers for the show ) I am sort of like that. I don't lash out but every not and then my misses will see me put the device calmly down, then I make the weirdest angry and frustrated looks and gestures towards the iPad. Then I see her. I smile, I kiss her and sloooooowly take the iPad back )
Picked up Space Chicks. So good. The physics are just perfect and they managed to get so much depth out of a one touch control scheme. I am going to ask for a hardcore mode, though As for other stuff, there's such a huge list to choose from that it's tough to pick one or two. I have a little over $4 left
Ohh no, I wasn't saying your description was bad I was just saying the game sounds like its hard to explain. A lot of games you just have to try. That's how I sounded trying to describe catch 22.
Add boom boat 2 to my list I'm through for the week. Or at least the day. Well, I'm through till my lunch break at least...
Yeah that list is very long. Really this is a genre that's just thrives on the App Store. And it's an honor to have your game there. As an avid indie gamer, I've seen too many games go unnoticed, on both IOS and PC. That's one of the reasons I write: to give those games attention and exposure. So it's great to see your game getting attention here and on Reddit
I am also waiting to get the next voucher and get Space Chicks. It's so cool I'd have fun watching walkthroughs ) We are happy as well to have our game... and our first one, make it on this great list. Right now though, as much as we would like to update it, we are working to get the next game out before Christmas crazy time comes a knocking ) But just so you know, we did think of a impossible game kind of spinoff based on the mechanics from The Way Home
Can you tell us anything about the new game? EDIT: woah, wanna talk about reflexes and difficulty...try playing the two player mode of Space Chicks solo.
Sure can. I also started a thread and am updating as soon as assets/features are ready. But here goes: The game blends a fun casual mechanic with an easy to pick up time traveling story. Whiliam White, the hero, invents a time machine. He tests it himself. But things go a little... kaka(for Quantum Leap fans). He does jump back in time but in another person's body. In order to get back home, he has to jump in time again. In order to do that, he must set things right in the person's life that he has occupied. As an example, William at some point lands into a pregnant girl's body and he must ensure that both the baby will be born(dad wants her to have an abortion) and that she gets into college. Each story has 5-10 levels. In order to find out what happens, you have to play all the levels. That is the story part. Hang in there(you did ask for it ). The game is however pretty fast and does test your reflexes but also how fast you can adapt. If you watch the in-game video, the player always runs from left to right. In order to pass a level, you must make all the people happy. That means collecting some objects. The problem is, each time you collect an object, you run faster aaaand each time you collect an object or hit the side walls, you change direction. So at top speed, avoiding the sad people and the walls becomes very challenging. The game will have 10 stories and 70 levels. We actually have another 30 levels on top of that, so after we launch, we'll create more stories. The game will be free, or let's say friendly to play. That means that you can mostly finish the whole game without spending money, but we will ask for a few shares or invites. This is mostly because getting discovered is really, really, really hard and we just don't have a budget for paid acquisition. There will however be a unlock all purchase I hope that you are going to say wow now and not: "Is that all?" but "De gustibus non est disputandum" Thanks for asking
Wow. That looks awesome. Tell me about the full unlock. How much is it going to be, and when I buy that I'm assuming I won't have to deal with Facebook sh*t and ads?
Added Stardash and Meganoid to the list Star Chicks is going to be my GOTW, unless something comes out of the blue today or tomorrow
So, the short answer is probably $5 and yes, after that only the game and stories remain. The reason why it is high is two fold: 1. You don't have lives anymore (infinite retries without ever waiting or having to invite). 2. You never have invite/share gates (ever). That means that no matter how many levels and stories we add to the game, you never have to share or invite again. We won't have ads even in the first version. Again, we don't need the revenue so much as we need players, people who will enjoy and play the game. We might have a William recommends where we put our games or link to the Quantum Leap DVD series (yes, with affiliate links). Now, to put it into perspective, the other IAPS are doubling the number of life slots you have and shortening recharge time + 2 consumable powerups (slow and pivot). In order to unlock all 70 levels, you only pass through 2 "gates" that require 2 shares and 6 invites. Our short term strategy is to get people playing and inviting, not necessarily paying Now, just give me 10 seconds to grab my helmet and shield )
jaggy you're amazing! I've been looking for weeks for the title of this game. good to finally know. unfortunately, it looks like this game was removed from the App Store not long ago. I guess I was too late. I've emailed, PMd, commented on Mad Agents TA post, and even commented on Startled Monocle's YouTube video of mad agents. hopefully I can find something out soon. this is the one game I can think of that is most deserving on this list!
That's a shame. It should be in your purchased list, though. I remember a pretty desperate post from the developer on TA. Apparently the game didn't do very well. It'll probably cost him more money to keep it in the store than it was generating.
Off topic I know but wanted to let those minecraft fans among you know that there are a bunch of promo code in the world of blocks thread. I was looking at it for my daughter and redeemed one. Guessing they not getting grabbed because it's an old thread http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=183591&page=5
Yes, here are some potential additions: Zombie Stomp - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zombie-stomp/id550920523?ls=1&mt=8 Space Roast - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/space-roast/id651302572?mt=8 Might not seem like one at first but I saw this comment on TIGForums: Wave Trip - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wave-trip/id581914455?mt=8 Not sure if this would fit here, but it looks challenging and reflex-testing Edit: wow, 36 pages and no mention of Karoshi? https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/karoshi/id406650835?mt=8 Do you think this game would count?
a damn shame. I wish I would've bought this game when I had a chance. Mad Agents was one of those games that I remembered about out of nowhere and began my frantic search only to learn it was already gone. that'd make a good movie plot! no, not at all. lol
Wave trip is one of my all time favorite games, but it is in no way difficult...even on the "harder" settings/levels. Great game though, definitely recommend it...especially for anyone who makes music, or loves music games.
