The Last Rocket sounds very promising:

The Last Rocket would be on a list of my top iOS games of all time.

Ohh, I saw Oct. 2012 under app activity and assumed it was released then. That was actually an article.

Haha, we came here to prevent further derailing in Boson X, how ironic.

This kind of chat and banter would be best in a group of some kind; that's what we do in Fight Club. :D

Check out Space Chicks. It is highly addictive and it gets reallllly hard.

I bought it at launch and I got a lot of crashes so waited until the update, I've updated it but not got round to actually playing it. Must do something about that.

I think Space Chick is the only thing I'm buying tonight. Might get The Last Rocket as well

    ---
How freemium is Wind-up Knight? Just learned of the game, and it looks good, but I noticed mentions of freemium in the game's thread.

I fully completed Wind-Up Knight and thought that the game was excellent. It's like the recent Bit.Trip Run but on speed - it gets very hard.

I don't think the game was freemium when I played it so I can't help you there, sorry. Definitely recommended though.

It's a full game unlock from what I remember.

Yep. I think I got it on Android and think it was premium then, but looking in iTunes it's $1.99 per "book" of levels (the first one is free. Three more thru unlocks.) Also a $3.99 one to unlock all of them.

    1) I'm grabbing space chicks and that runner where you shoot called something hammer tonight. Just bought last rocket because it was only 1.3 MB's. I'm not liking it so far. For some reason I thought it was a platformer. That's my fault.
    2) wind-up knight is amazing. I played it a long time ago, before the freemium craze. It may be bad now. Wasn't then.
    3) I'm REALY hoping for A wolf among us this week. Wasn't it supposed to come out soon?
    4) the Plague Inc update would be just as great.
    5) also buying Orborun and Worm Run tonight. Any objections?

You won't regret Orborun and Worm Run. Worm Run is one of my favorites, it's very intense although you might have to get used to the controls.

And as I said, Orborun = "SMB of ball rollers"

    ---
So you don't like The Last Rocket? It looks pretty good in the trailer, has a VVVVV vibe IMO.
And I checked the App Store about Wind-Up Knight. It's free with level packs, $3.99 to unlock everything

Only played Last Rocket for 15 minutes,
Past the first several levels. Didn't like the mechanics of the puzzles. I thought it was something different.
I'm sure its a good game, and I may like it one day, it just wasn't what I wanted nor what I expected.

*Downloading Orborun, and Worm Run now

Woah. Fell in love with Worm Run immediately. Don't think it belongs on this list, or even remotely in this category...but I absolutely love it.

Sorry tp necro an older post but Bronx buddy, you have two of my four favorite apps. The other two are Shibuya and Hard Lines. Those will never leave my device. Did you try Forget or Pix yet? Hope you enjoyed them.

Been gleaning through this thread for the last few days and love all the comments and talk. This is TA at it's best. Thanks guys for making my week just giving me great stuff to read.

I know your not really counting musical tap games but Jukebeat (Jubeat) is insane. Watch this if you dare.

Love 3/4 of your favorites. Never played shibuya. D/lng now.
Lol. Just did a search for a game called "Forget or Pix", before realizing I'm an idiot. Fail.

How's critter panic been for you today? Anyone beat your challenge cough cough :)

    @Cygnet
No need to apologize and glad you're enjoying the discussion

Actually I haven't bought either of those two yet. After getting Space Chicks tonight, I might but the way that list has grown, I got a bunch of other potentials.
Forget Me Not, Wind-up Knight, Last Rocket, Mini Dash. I'm really enjoying what I've played of Wind-Up, so that's my first choice

    ---
Those who were on the fence about Hundreds, have you bought the game? I'm curious to hear what you think, was it what you expected, etc.

    ---
Added Gleamer and Crowman & Wolfboy to the list

Haha, sorry for the abbreviations. I hate when people mention a game by it's initials and I feel like an idiot because I can't figure out what AtoPPwS is. Forget Me Not and Pix'n Love Rush. (but you know that) All four of those games give me an old school arcade feel but fresh and original.

    Haha
I expected you to beat it.
I sent you that weird challenge because it was the ONLY category you weren't already beating me in.

Man. That game. Critter panic is "twitch" at its finest. Your only chance at a good score is to turn off your brain and just let your reflexes take over.
I love how it gets you going, builds your confidence, and then just starts punishing you for thinking you're great.
Ill be purchasing the ad-free version tonight for sure, so hopefully my GC stats carry over...and we can still compete.

Edit: initial imps of Orborun and worm run are both very positive, though I wouldn't necessarily classify either in this category,
