I see, didnt know that. Have to reinstall then. Edit: weird i see latest update done like february 2012. Is it only hd version neglected then?
What is steam? I keep hearing about it and have no clue what it is, is it something I need to get? I have tried all those apart from bit trip and forget me not, I'd struggle to choose just two lol.
Seems like you need a 4S or higher for BTR. So I'm thinking Forget Me Not, and then getting Space Chicks tomorrow night.
Must be. That sucks. The iPhone version was updated November 13, 2013 (and ironically added retina so I hope that doesn't mean they're abandoning the HD version).
Anyone else found issues with Drop Possible? I have exploding balls right after start, lines with no gaps twice in a row and exploding ball even when i hit the triangle.
Miseria How in the hell has this epic & frustrating game not been mentioned? I think I'm about to pick up Orborun. Should I grab it?
Definitely get Orborun. Someone in the forum described it as the "SMB of ball rollers" and that's absolutely accurate. It's really good Guess I have to check out Miseria
Can someone please explain the Dont Shoot yourself controls to me? This is frustrating. Not in a good way.
Some more additions: Meteor Storm Escape Neurokult Soul Grinder (could fit, could not, what do you guys think?) Edit: about DSY, someone in the thread called the controls "mirrored touch". So where you touch on the control side, your ship goes to the equivalent spot on the gameplay side. I'm gradually getting used to the controls myself, but my advice would be to wait for the coming update
That's just it. They aren't mirrored though. I feel like they're suppose to be, but that isn't how it works... Man. This thread...its making me wanna play Bumpy Road for a week straight. These past few days have been torture.
Damn it, I think Meteor Storm Escape was removed. That was such a good game. Here's some gameplay: I don't think anyone mentioned Ziggurat and Knife That Guy. And since we're including platformers, Stealth Inc. would fit here too
So, I suppose I should list my top 5 games in the list that I've played so far: -Boson X -Super Hexagon -Super Crate Box -Bit.Trip.Run -Stealth Inc.
I am in the minority in that I don't totally hate these controls and I only have two levels to do on teir 5, still looking forward to the update as I reckon it's gonna totally feel like a different game. The best way I can describe what I did is press lightly near the centre of the right half and move your finger in the direction you wanna go and instead of chasing direction by moving the whol finger tip I kind of rolled to shift the pressure slightly, I took it really slowy.
Quickie Reviews: 14px - Fantastic platformer, true mastery of tapping around feels just beyond your reach at all times. Nonstop "are you kidding me?!" moments. Worm Run - Wasn't sure what to think of this one, but after playing it a few times I grasped the frantic swiping necessary to survive. No other game like this, a concept well done. It is to swiping what 14px is to tapping... Impossible Missions - Too many of these games around, I think Bitless did it right and then Geometry Dash was the best 'timed to music' of this genre. Slayin - I remember just glancing at a screenshot and ignoring this on release. Sheesh, the things you miss. Hardcore to the bone, this is modern retro magic. My *only* gripe is that I wish the buttons were a little more compact on an iPad, but I got used to them. Crazy Bill - Strange auto-runner platformer ridiculous game, it will definitely make anyone giggle. Not sure if the game has legs, the timing on jumps and such feels a little vague. Pixman - Grabbed the Lite version of this game, will probably buy the full. It is a SMB homage with a jetpack instead of a jump... Which sounds great but the 'hold' on that jetpack takes some getting used to. I played all the way through the free campaign and got used to it I guess. Definitely a game where you try to best your ghost (think SMB ghostS) Critter Panic - Wow, what a simple but effective concept for a game. I felt unnaturally good at this game but that comes from too many hours of Tap the Frog 2 I think (bows head in shame). This game is tight and fresh and slick, feeds the brain nicely. WingDot HD - Great 'endless sailer' concept and a very cool style to the game that makes it all the better. The style is actually too cool for Apple, odd they didn't make the Dev tweak a few things... Catch 22 - ... what can a person say about this game. It is too devious and diabolical to explain. To understand Catch 22 you must suffer Catch 22. *head asplodes* Spunk & Moxie - Strange game, kind of an Adventure form of Bitless, the engine and graphics are very slick but the controls feel a little wonky. You feel like you are in control sometimes, other times...
This. I completely agree with all of this (well, aside from the faxt that i enjoyed Imp.Miss). Next time you like a game ill buy it.
So Beat Leap will be getting a MASSIVE update. Go check out the thread and let's hope that TA does a review soon
