Agreed! I'd totally love to know if the sequel is still on its way.

    Yes, please!

Here's my wishlist for the sequel:

    1) Not have the world's ugliest icon.
    2) Be like QuestLord 1 in EVERY OTHER WAY.

Well, I finished again, and it was EVEN MORE awesome the second time 'round. I DID find the spell book this time, but never figured out how to equip it? The standout aspects to me are still (a) the rich variety of environments, especially "outdoor dungeons," (b) the sense of exploration that results from moving from area to area in a belieavable progression (like, moving from forests to forested foothills to mountains, rather than just from one area to a random other with no attempt to connect the two stylistically), and (c) the lush pixel art that strikes a perfect balance between detail and video gamey-ness. I've been trying out Redshift's The Quest (mostly because I've had such a great experience with this game), and it just pales in comparison, at least so far.

I have so many things I could say I loved, a very short and specific list of things I didn't like so much, and a wishlist for additional features a mile long, but all I'll say is: I CANNOT WAIT for QL2, and it is very worrisome to me that we've heard so little about it over the past year!

Of course, QL1 is already such a treat, I count myself lucky to be able to play it, whether I get a sequel or not.

Yeah, I tried to get into The Quest too, but it just never felt as accessible and right as QuestLord. This game is definitely a gem!

QL has gorgeous art that draws you into the world, and it really hits a sweet spot of depth vs. accessibility.

I've never gotten the secret weapon and armor, but I know where they are now, so here goes playthrough three...!

For Dwarves and Humans, it's in a portal in the Keep of Alestane.

For Elves, it's to your right. :)

Looks like an awesome game, but it seems that updates have stopped, I'm wondering if this game will be worth the $1.99? Or if there any updates in the making.

one more update for sure, but this one will be on a technical side of things - 64 bit support, etc.

good news: QuestLord 2 is coming soon.

This game is awesome. Worth way more than $2 to me. It found the perfect balance between simple and fun for an RPG. And because of the 3 characters, it's worth at least 3 play-throughs. But because I think that it doesn't mean everyone will. Check out clips of it to see if it'll click with you.

YES. The game is a complete package -- it doesn't have any unfinished chapters, framework for expansions, or loose ends. It has no more updates because the game is complete as intended, and it's AMAZING. I had never played a 1st-person CRPG before, and I haven't been able to play any since -- QL spoiled me. It has a near-perfect mix of complexity and approachability.

I'll admit to being a fanboy, but I don't give out my fanboyness easily! This game's worthwhile.
