Lol... I don't really care for crappy cams. Every cell phone has one. It's all about the games' future for me. So OpenGL v 2.0 is the $h*t. Come on NOVA!!! Bring it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish, but think about it: The event is over, they would've mentioned it and demoed it on a prototype or something...
Who was the one to tell everyone to wait before selling your iPod Touch 2G? Was it that sexy Brazilian Rider guy? I think it was. Anyways, Nova looks beast. I'm happy enough with just that and Madden 10.
Think OpenGL 2.0 will only be on the devices with the new processor... which is only the 32GB and the 64GB models. So still will cost $300 to get the speed.
What makes no sense about it. They didn't actually show any of the new touches. They simply alluded to them with the announcement of OpenGL ES 2.0 support and 64GB of storage. But they didn't "show" it as they did with the iPhone 3Gs. If the manufacturing problems due to a camera are true, maybe those manufacturing problems are the reason they didn't show anything. And the reason they didn't announce something like a camera on the new iPod touch is because they want to clear out stock of the old iPod touch product line (new consumers would hold out on getting a 2nd "gen" touch if the new model has a camera). It's not very far fetched, and I explained it pretty clearly. I don't understand your confusion.
So your saying the iPod doesnt have a camera but will probably next tear? Or what? I dont quite understand you...
*sighs There was a recent rumor that the 3rd "gen" iPod touches have hit a snag in manufacturing due to faulty cameras, and that because of that snag they'd be delayed. As they didn't actually "show" the new touch at the event as they did with iPhone 3Gs (where they actually showed it off) I figured there might be a chance that the rumors were true and that the new touches were delayed, and so Apple just didn't announce the camera because they didn't have the new devices to show off due to the manufacturing problems (camera related) and didn't announce the camera for sales purposes to get rid of older 2nd gen stock. I was basically holding on to hope of a camera, thinking that the new touches wouldn't go on sale until later this month or something when "surprise" we'd find out they had a camera but Apple just didn't show it off at the event (because they didn't show off the devices themselves). Of course, now I've actually gone on the Apple Store website and seen that the new touch devices are, in fact, already on sale and ready to ship. So my slight hope is dashed, and my earlier comments null and void.
It makes no sense because the keynote is over. But mainly because apple needs to keep their iphone customers. becuase theirs the mifi box. if the touch got the camera apple would probaly start (MAYBE) losing customers with the iphone : it woulb be almost AS good as the iphone
And btw, putting a camera on the touch wouldn't cause a mass exodus of iPhone consumers to the iPod touch. VoiP over WiFi is nice...if you're near WiFi. iPhone consumers seem to value that 3G connection, after all.
Haha I'm sad that the new touch doesn't have a camera.. Oh well, I guess I'll get one of the new Nanos with the cameras. Guess this means I'm leaving TouchArcade, it's been nice here!
Lol, thanks I'm flattered! But it's just that now I have no iPod Touch, and I guess this is some kind of sign that I should be focusing on other things in life
Yes I did... Bad choice, I know, but I didn't see any of your posts unfortunately... I definitely wouldn't have sold it if at least one person said no, because everyone I asked said I should sell it... Guess I should've asked the smartest person here, Brazilian Rider
Lol, I should ask you next time. Well what happened was I bought the iPod Touch 2G, brand new, when it came out. I got the service plan for it, yada yada, and after a year it was pretty scratched up and a had a dent in it.. Definitely not sales-worthy. I got it exchanged for a brand new one at BestBuy, and then sold it to my friend for about $180. (I gave him a discount because he was a very good friend of mine, otherwise I would've tried to sell it for $200)
I was expecting the new touch to have a camera as the nano has one...and it's a lot cheaper than I expected
