Ouch. The new 8gb model will be only $199... but it will NOT be the new faster processor. Gotta spend $299 on the 32GB option to get iPhone3Gs speed.
YES! They said "one more thing, that thing is a video camera" Edit: Oh, only a camera upgrade for the Nano.... I sold my iPod Touch 2G a few days ago, now I don't know what I should get... a PSPgo, a Nano, a Classic, or the new 32GB iPod Touch...
Can't believe they didn't add a camera to the Touch, after all of these rumors and hype... Grrr... Oh well... Guess they really didn't want it interfering with the iPhone.
I know... Apple really let me down on this one, guess I'll just buy a PSP now... Or one of those new Nanos...
That's fine. For gamers sake though, I am more happy to see OpenGL ver 2.0 which could probably mean the 3GS only games could now be played on the new touches. No mention yet if the new touch utilizes ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz and 256mb RAM. Gamers can celebrate.
Y'know...maybe they didn't announce the camera for the new iPod touch because...they didn't really announce the new iPod touch at all. They alluded to it, sure, with references to 64GB and OpenGL 2.0, but they didn't actually show anything. I mean...we didn't actually see a new model. Usually at these events, when a new product or new model of an existing product is expected they actually SHOW the new thing. They didn't this time. Maybe there IS a camera for the 3rd gen touch...but the rumors of the manufacturing problems is true so there wasn't anything to show. And they DO want to get rid of the older stock, after all.
did no one read the post a few days back from appleinsider having sources claiming new ipod touch delayed for a bit due to camera production problems? (i cba finding link) . Don't give up hope we may get out new touches yet!
