What he said: devs get avatars. Us lowly member just get profile pics (w00t)...hopefully at some point, TA will upgrade to vB 4.0, and not only update this date UI feel, but also allow us to have avatars...arn?
Update maybe... avatars probably not. Hodapp's always sounded extremely anti-avatar because of all the flashing gifs, anime, mudkipz and sexual organs that are likely to appear from time to time. I'm of the impression that if other forums can manage with them (through use of what we forum-goers affectionately know as "moderators") then this one could too, but maybe they just can't be bothered
At least this place isn't as bad as Engadget comment threads. But I would love to see vBuelletin updated to 4.0 ...guess everything costs money though!
