Would I have to actually go to the place and check in? Or would it work if I just did it from my home using the app?
Hi I use their api in my app Coffee Shop Finder. I think they use an algorithm around your coordinates to determine where you are to stop you checkin in without being there. My app is http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/coffee-shop-finder/id427455026?mt=8
You do have to be near the place to check in. If you are too far away you may not be awarded points/mayorships/badges
