Hi everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates. After some consideration I decided to take some extra time polishing some parts of the game, this means I'll probably miss the February window as a release date, sorry about that. I'll have more info soon, and once again thank you for your patience.
Hi there. Sorry for the lack of updates, I spent the last 10 days on sick leave (too much day work+indie work) so things slowed down a bit. The good news is that I finished all features and I'm just tweaking some stuff. I expect to have a release date soon, fingers crossed
well, you didnt _sign up_ for the 'race you to it' post some time back in 2013, but as I'm in 'review' for my LTOD it seems I win.. on speed that is haha. Anyway, curious what dev tools you use, I understand now I made a terrible choise by sticking to an SDK with no crossplatform support, and all and any 'universal' features would include a complete new calculation of positioning. Still looking forward to it, rougelikes are the only types that actualy stay on my pad forever, I bring em up every now and then on rotation
eheh although not released I already have an approved version on app store I just need to update with the final build once I finish it. As for tools I made the game from the ground up in C++ and OpenGL and used OpenAL for sound
Good news everyone. I have a release date, it's March 25th. It's getting released on iOS (Universal) and Mac App Store at midnight, and later during the day on Steam. Gonna send a code to TouchArcade, maybe they'll pick it up and can help undecided people either buying or not, depending how the review goes (fingers crossed
I made a small instructional manual (Mac/PC and iOS) for the game. Tried to mimic the old snes manual feeling, I hope you guys like it. It's a bit hi-res since I made it in printing quality (300 dpi) http://store.steampowered.com/manual/270050 (30MB)
The manual is pretty cool. I'm sure the game will be too. I'll be buying it when it launches... Like every Roguelike. This (Quest of Dungeons) looks really good though.
