Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,165 498 83 #3 Brightsiderus, Nov 25, 2020 I think that it is interesting. 90% on steam, cross-platform coop 2-4 players, and decisions can affect storyline. Actually, it was In soft launch in Canada for two years! ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,552 885 113 #4 ste86uk, Nov 25, 2020 Never heard of this before it sounds really good and looks good too. Given it a download as I guess we can try a bit for free before deciding to buy which is great especially for an expensive (iOS terms) game that I don’t know of. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,747 543 113 England #5 psj3809, Nov 25, 2020 All good so far. An on screen joystick appears once you get the first item. Played a bit. Thought there might be a jump button but nope. But gonna play more Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 596 284 63 #6 Rocksaint, Nov 25, 2020 The game's quite good. Great production values. I love how it doesn't overcomplicate things and lets you hack away at everything with your weapon. May it be killing monsters or collecting resources. The writing is quite good too. Can be really funny at times. And I also like the segmented map/level system with moderately sized areas to explore. Only downside is how it runs on my phone. (iPhone X) Yeah, I know, it's an old one so it's expected. And I've probably mentioned this plenty of times before. Even with all graphics settings turned off, the phone heats up quickly, framerates start to drop (at times), all of which results in quite decent battery drain. (Lost ~30% in 1 hour of gameplay) And seeing the price of the game being on the steeper side, not sure if I should dive in. (Respect the try before you buy model though) I really wanna get it. But not sure if I should. Son of Anarchy likes this. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,165 498 83 #7 Brightsiderus, Nov 26, 2020 I asked developers why it cost so much, since soft launch was 4 or 5$. They said that it’s the console/pc price, so it’s actually quite fair.(though I feel that it’s too pricy and there will be complaints on this) ste86uk likes this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,036 616 113 #8 anthony78, Nov 26, 2020 Ironically, it’s $9.99 on Steam right now. The one thing I don’t like about full game unlocks is they almost never go on sale and, even if they do, you may never know about it. ste86uk, L.Lawliet and decript like this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,552 885 113 #9 ste86uk, Nov 26, 2020 I haven’t tried it yet but with all the games I’ve purchased lately at this kind of price this would really have to impress me a lot to get me at that price. Sucks that it costs as much as console and more than on steam, are they new to iOS? It’s not going to sell much at that price. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,747 543 113 England #10 psj3809, Nov 26, 2020 I'm really enjoying this, so far i cant see how i'm going to get killed as all the enemies are so easy to kill. Presume it'll ramp up at some point. Was worried i would be digging non stop in this game but so far theres not much of that. I'm a fan or premium priced games for sure, always buy early so the dev gets the money but bit miffed that its the same price as Steam as normally iOS is cheaper. Think it’s just used to light those sticks. So when you’re by one you hold down fire and once the circle is filled up it lights ColeDaddy likes this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,260 168 63 #16 sakara214ever, Nov 26, 2020 The 'action' button is actually the button with the sword the one you make attacks with. Approach the point where you want to light the torch and you will se a round cog. Press action button and it will light up. You can only use one torch per point. I like kind of baulders gate and neverwinter nights size choices. Of a mage! Who always has the most choice. Joeschmoe Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2011 76 1 8 #19 Joeschmoe, Nov 27, 2020 A lot of the features of this game are right up my alley, so I bought it and have been playing on my ipad. So many good things, and also so many things that need to be fixed to earn that high price point. I had the same problem ColeDaddy did with the task to light the torch. It was not at all apparent what I was supposed to do. I kept looking at the torch in my bag, trying to light it even though it's icon is a lit torch. After restarting a couple times, I stumbled on the actual "torch" and lit it. They need to call those something else because that's confusing. Also, as I was going through that level, I kept thinking that they really need to add a tutorial to the game. When I finally moved on to the next level, I saw that first area WAS the tutorial. So that needs work. The tutorial needs to explain that the torches you light are the game save points. It becomes apparent later, but a fair number of things in the game just aren't explained as they should be, and leave the player wondering what's going on, what does that thing do, what is this? The tutorial should also include an intro to a vendor and show you how to sell, craft and upgrade things. My biggest annoyance is the lack of auto-collecting loot. When you loot an NPC or break a barrel/box, the loot flies out and lands at your feet. Then you have to run in tiny circles gathering it all up. (Except one coin flew into a wagon and now I can't get close enough to collect it!) Which reminds me, the targeting isn't great either. Most of the time when I tap a bad guy to attack, a tree to cut down, or a rock to break, my little player guy thinks I told him to go stand behind it. Lastly, the font for the item descriptions and some other things is way too teensy. I hope they fix these things (i did leave feedback with this stuff). ColeDaddy likes this.
