Really liking the game so far though multiplayer seems broken. I got a request from griffin and the game crashes whenever I try to load it :/ iPad 3 iOS 7.1
Been waiting for this!! Alright time to reread the thread for all the hints. Hope it's as good as everyone is saying it will be
Nice update - any excuse to increase the card pool for a deck builder is a good one. The best multiplayer enhancement that they could have made would have been a "Next Game" button to move directly to your next game's turn, but it doesn't look like they've added that functionality. It's pretty clunky having to back out of each game to the main menu to move to your next game. I still can't believe something like that continues to be an oversight.
Have you both updated before? Where you trying to play the expansion, which the other hasn't installed? (Just guesswork)
I just got the game when it went free and got the expansion. I don't know if he has quarmageddon so I've tried checking and unchecking before tapping the Game Center logo, results in crashing each time. I might try deleting NAND reinstalling... But that means I have to stop playing... :/
i like the game too but does anyone else dislike those HUGE banners that appear and fill the entire width of the screen!? i know some go away but not for 5 seconds or so and i know you can tap on them to make them go away but what a hassle and they don't turn off when you un-check Quirks Tips in Options. this stuff: CAPTURE FROM THE WILDS - CAPTURE 2 QUARRY DICE UP TO 7 QUIDDITY - i know how to play the game and what to do next - i know i need to capture, it says so at in small letters at the bottom on the screen - i know i have 7 quiddity, it's in the tear drop - i know which quarry i can buy, they're lit up so why do i need to see these ugly, obtrusive, neon hints across the whole game board?? i asked for an option to turn them off in my iTunes review and i'd emailed them long before this update but they are still there. you guys like those displays? if not, include a comment in your reviews and shoot them an email asking for an option to turn them off. thanks and end or rant...
Expert culling I'm new to this game so I needed some clarification. Is it right that expert culling makes it harder to cull unwanted dice. Playing my first few games with the rules and can't figure out how to cull basic quiddy with the rule on.
Yes. The creatures that survive a round are able to score, only the scoring dice can give you glory, and you can only gain that glory if you cull that die. You wouldn't want to cull quiddity anyways because you need to be constantly buying creatures in order to cull them and score points. It's an interesting balance between buying creatures to cull and making sure you have the funds to replace those creatures.
Bought the expansion. It would be great a menu to see al the cards and dices of the game, Playdek alike.
That's still a legitimate way to play if you are not using the advanced culling rule, since each creature can also give you quiddity, but the more of your basic quiddity dice you cull, the more you have to rely on luck to get the right mix of quiddity and the creatures to summon with that quiddity. It's more like MTG in that respect, where you can get "mana screwed", although in this game, it's on a turn by turn basis instead of over the whole game. But the expert culling and "harder" AI have made this game very challenging offline now, which is great. I can actually lose against the computer now.
Yeah I waited until the sale to jump on it so I'm pretty new to the game. The hard ai has been kicking my butt. Still learning the rules and such so my scores are getting better.
Ah, that's cool. You didn't really miss anything before the sale, as the base game against easy AI got old VERY fast. But if you have any other questions, I'd love to help a fellow fan of this game if I at all can. And if you haven't already, DEFINITELY get the expansion. It adds SO MUCH to the game. There is just so much that is awesome about this game, and not having the physical version (nobody to really play it with), this version is a dream come true. I hope we get more of these kinds of games on iOS. Not that there is a severe shortage of them already, lol.
Just downloaded this for free to confirm what I assumed: I hate it. It's random crap on top of a ton more randomness. Exponential luck-dependance. One of the worst games I've ever played (just barely better than Fluxx). If you want a game to take your decisions seriously and be about strategic thinking with minimal gambling, then stay away.
It's a dice game at heart, sooo... Not sure why you even had to download it to find that out, lol. But it has enough strategy and variety for me to play relatively mindlessly while I wait for my turn to come up in Soulcalibur V, lol.
Can't fault you there. Not that I'm looking for fault, lol. But it's like people that HATE "ameritrash" games checking out the latest dungeon basher just to confirm that they hate ameritrash games.
