I'm looking for a quality iPod Touch 4th Gen case that is resistant to drops on hard surfaces like sidewalks and hardwood (the sides are raised so the screen will never touch the ground). No leather ones please, this one is for a kid. I'm not interested in those Zagg Invisible Shield ones as well, too expensive and doesn't add to aesthetics. And no products from Apple... not willing to spend like $50 for a piece of plastic with the logo pasted onto it.
I know my iPhone's Seigio shield works very well, highly drop-proof even after a few years.
    Thanks.
Suggestions for a scratch-resistant screen film would be good as well.

Incipio have great gaming cases and can get the hive case at Walmart for $20. Very durable. I've had a a red one and liked it enough to grab a blue a few days ago. Highly recommend them and not only for kids.
I really like the raised backing to them because I've got more control of my device during extreme gaming and the edges fit snug against the entire device even after heavy usage for over 6 months now. I'm sure it would survive a fairly hard drop because the silicone feels very thick but not bulky. It feels good in your hands when playing as well.

This case I bought 2 days ago because wanted a black one but its a Philips and not as thick but still as durable and with the raised backing for gaming. I got it at Sears for $15. This one I put on my device when I'm out in public. (I'm an adult and like to be somewhat conservative looking in my game playing.)

I am not a fan of silicone because pocket fluff sticks to it but the one above looks pretty durable. I am using a TUNEWEAR tpu case, it is like a hard case only with the flexibility of silicone.

Well, When one have a new Itouch, want nothing but to protect it from being scratched or for other damaged in anyway.# In all one way to ensure that it won't damaged is by only using Itouch Skin Cover as it helps to protect with proper functionality.
