I'm at almost 7000 meters, maxed out the damage on weapon drops, anyone else made it this far? I've been playing for 3 weeks without dying
Maxed weapon Here is the best possible weapon In the game I believe, max damage possible, 40%+ toughness. I hit a point where weapons don't have any more damage when they drop. The game at this point is so easy that I think I can literally go on forever. I do spin attack a couple times to rage, bubble, then just dodge around killing everything with my laser eye. Have all mysteries also. All legit, no cheating. Ps. I love this game! I'm critting for over 2 billion per hit!
Playing under one sitting? That's pretty insane. I get what hit killed once I reach 2000+ M. Doesn't seem like GC recorded your score. By the way, did you manage to get all of the achievements?
Sonofa... I have the deepest dive on my friends list. BTW, does toughness modify the amount of damage you take? If so, anyone figure out how many hotpoints 1% tougness is worth? TRUCKNUTT'D!
Not sure but toughness definitely makes you take less dmg. And I think u have to die for it record it on the leader board, I wondered that too
Yeah I am at 7620 meters, I've been playing through this dive for the past 2 updates, Gotten all Artifacts (currently holding all too) (I've used lucky coins 3 times, bought another) The weapons all drop have 0 dmg for me too, but mine is not as high as yours only 694506687 But I also have 9175hp... I love the new pets too, I have saw and smiles on, I dive to a new level, I am invuln for 3 seconds, I also have dodge does damage turned on in masteries, I just dodge and hit as much as I can, then I smash, bubble, and dodge burn the rest, dive again. GC is not showing my current progress, maybe because like I said, I have been playing thru 2 updates now, and I need to die and restart.... But who wants to do that!? I wanna hit 10k baby!
Nope. Just redownloaded and tested. Still crashes consistently. We gotta get YoYo to fix it, even at gunpoint if necessary.
I can't seem to find a way to restore the orb doubler after the update. I just reinstalled seeing as it now restores this. Let me guess, those of us that initially bought it with premium currency get to buy it again...saying, it only restores the doubler if bought in the current release? Would love to play this again, but I'm not buying the doubler twice. Still a great game, if I had the 2 bucks to spare I'd get the doubler again.

I'm interested in this game but I don't want to get invested until I have a firm understanding of the IAPs, and also some sort of reassurance that with future updates, they won't be disabled or not working (as I've seen posted a few times). I get that the premium currency is Doubloons, which drop rarely from monsters and can be purchased (with the non-premium currency from shops), however: - What's the Pet Sack? - People mention the orb doubler - is this something that once purchased simply doubles the amount of non-premium currency you get? - There are some of the lower listed IAPs that mention "ressurect and unlock masteries!" along with the doubloons you get. WHat does this mean? Thanks! I normally won't touch IAP based games, but I really don't mind supporting the developer if I enjoy the game and as long as it doesnt' feel like cheating.
1) Pet Sack: Get all of the pets right off. While they're purchasable with the standard in-game currency, it would require some serious grinding to get them all and, at least I hope, that $5.99 is cheaper than what it would take for you to just purchase enough premium currency to do it all. 2) Orb Doubler: Standard fare, doubles the earned standard currency. I think it just means every little coin you collect in game is now worth 2. 3) Ressurection: When you die, for a few doubloons, you can pop right up again to continue your current run. I can't recall exactly how this works but think it is some cute doubling situation where the first revive in a run is 1, then it's 2, then 4, and so on. All reset back to 1 once you start a new run. 4) Masteries: These are the game's achievement system which grant cool perks. Whenever you satisfy the mastery's conditions (say dive 1,000 meters in combined runs) then you'll unlock a nifty 2 sided perk. Whichever cool possible perk you choose of the 2, you aren't locked into. If I recall correctly you might even be able to change which mastery perk of the 2 you're "equipping" mid run (besides the more obvious pre-run time). That IAP for masteries just means you bypass all of that achievement stuff and have all of those perks available instantly. I personally don't bother resurrecting much as it feels too cheaty, but, especially with the currency doubler, you'll soon find yourself overflowing in cash (well enough to buy many of the artifacts offered in-game, but not so easily the more expensive pets).
Thanks LordGek! I played it for a while during my lunch break and the game is definitely fun. I noticed Towelfight 2 is also made by the same company - have you played it as well? If so, would you recommend it?
I emailed Butterscotch and they said they were targeting update at eow--last week. At any rate, it's on their radar and being worked on.
I found this post (http://www.butterscotch-shenanigans.com/2014/10/why-we-cant-have-nice-things-part-1.html) at BS's website (probably old news by now), amazing reflection of how F2P is quite harmful for the player base and devs themselves. I wonder how other developers sort this kind of problems as it seems that this toxicity and victimization is present in a usual player base from any game at any platform (lookin' at you PC gamers).
