Lol ok, I won't remove any of them now. It's a lot more easy to be safer in what you like than in what you dislike.
Pizza Boy and R-Type. Categories should be fairly self explanatory. I'll add a vote for Galaxy on Fire 2, whatever category it is in, and also Aralon. Admittedly, R-Type wasn't first released in 2010 but if we're talking about the self-contained world of the app-store, then it counts.
Yes R-Type count as Monkey Island 2, and it's a hugely good game, and there's zero nostalgia from me as I never owned any Amiga and never played before this game. Galaxy on Fire 2 is already added and Aralon was already in original list. No idea what Pizza Boy is, so I wonder the category, casual?
Lol. A good list should combine your own personal opinions with the opinions of the community you're making the list for. If I were to make a list based entirely on my personal tastes, The Incident probably wouldn't have made it. But because the majority found this game enjoyable, it is worth adding.
From another thread: Thanks that's a big contribution. Now some cough cough, few negative criticism (oops) but no heat and I'm open to debate about this. I'm not tempted at all to add those: Dungeon Hunter 2: I'm playing it, it's very pleasant but it doesn't put a strong mark, everything too light but the graphics, story ok but that's all, fights ok but not that great, exploration better than in 1 but nothing amazing. I totally advise it to RPG fans of Diablo like but well not in general. 100 Rogues: Another fairly good one, but well, it's mainly Roguelike with a touch a bit more friendly, but so far from depth of best Roguelike. Solomon's Boneyard: Cool game, but well it's a little repetitive. And I can't omit make the comparison with the olders Underworlds or on the other side some more sophisticated dual stick shooters, too many to quote one. Psychoban: The problem is that it's not really puzzles, just too obvious and too repetitive and I tried play many levels. The mood is cool but it's a puzzle game. For the other, some was already in the list and otherwise it's so many that I'll wait some more feedback to confirm. But I'll confirm some: NFS Hot Pursuit (even if I'm not a full specialist) Phoenix Wright Puzzle Quest 2 (it's really one of those I felt so weird they wasn't in the guide) RAGE Spiderman Total Mayhem Yeah yeah just big names, but I'll try some I never heard of you quoted, it's the best I can do.
To be clear, I don't care about my opinion for this list and I don't intend it to be my list. Even if it's necessary to have someone to organize and try put some temperance to not have everything and anything. I see this thread more like a what I miss very noteworthy this 2010 year, so if there's game I didn't like it really doesn't matter, I perfectly know that I don't like every good game around even some great one.
Seeing as sword and poker isnt available at the moment, it should never have been on TA's list. Besides, there is sword and poker 2, which is apparently better. I dont know seeing as you can no longer buy either of them.
Well they are both in my store so I'll keep one in the list. But if someone knowing them both confirm Sword & Poker 2 is better than the 1 I'll replace it.
Wait, let me get this straight: 1. This thread is an UNOFFICIAL thread. 2. This thread is titled TA 2010 (Unofficial) Buyers Guide addon. So that means the entire TA community can add on what they feel to be a good add-on. Yet you are still rejecting their opinions for your own. Control freak, much?
Just throw a name won't be enough here, it's not a vote. But I'm just challenging to test the reason someone suggest a game, that's necessary to not have everything of anything. If you disagree with additions or non additions or removing the debate is welcome. You can even debate about this choice if you want, as I wrote in OP I'm expecting this thread is becoming a garbage if it gets more contributions.
Oh, okay. So how it works in this thread is, we give you what we think are good games. Then, based on your opinion, if it's good it makes the list. If not, it doesn't. And based on your opinion alone, this process somehow represents the TA community. Then you proceed to say that if we keep making contributions, this thread will turn into garbage. What, the games that we're nominating aren't good enough for you? Because you don't like them, our contributions become trash and won't get added? Are you trying to make a late year push at the jerk of the year award?
No, based on someone else opinion. For example if you want support Psychoban, ok fine do it. I think it has poor gameplay other than its mood but if really someone disagree go on. Eddie added it but well quote he is playing it. For the TA community list "problem", have you quote I own the thread? So I request help from anybody and it's very open to suggestions including for Psychoban. But yes at the end that's it, just an addon suggestion that I tried organize and temper. Votes aren't possible because they will just result in a list of big names, just because more people already know them so they'll get more votes. I really didn't want do it by myself and wish someone else took the initiative to do it. But not at all on a vote process system, that's won't work as I explain above. Lol, good joke. No really if you want make suggestions, do it, don't think I'll put a veto it's not what I intend to do and I expect there will be games perhaps worthy but that I don't like anyway in final list. And if Psychoban has to be in it will be, but not from just a quote from a long list that Eddie, thanks to him, made but he made it quite fast.
Where are you getting this vote system from? I never once asked for you to set up a poll. In fact, as seen in crex's thread, I'm AGAINST voting. Secondly, you still aren't proving you aren't a control freak. Right now, all you're letting me do is just agreeing with others. You're still not putting the games on your original post. So my point still stands, all you're doing is only considering games said in this thread only if you like it. No, this isn't "someone else's" opinion. Sure, they might have posted the game they like, but their choice won't instantly be put in your post. The deciding factor is YOUR opinion. This is not the point of a community's buyer guide. This is the point of Qordobo's 2010 (Unofficial) Buyers Guide addon. The b____ of the year award? Wow, that's impressive!
Well let make it more simple, I request that someone put a name of game to be be in the top pick of its genre of the 2010 year, and give some reason, and that someone else confirm it's a great pick. Also if for a game added more people complain against the game added I'll remove it. Is it complicated? Perhaps I should change, what you suggest? For the game not added, I'll do but seriously I can't do it every minutes, there's few additions confirmed, less than ten. Well ok going add them but seriously don't expect it's done constantly asap. EDIT: Added in OP the last confirmed additions in red. And yes I can confirm a proposal of someone else, as someone else can do it. And enough request of removal (ie more than proposal) will involve the removing, I hope it's clear now.
Pizza Boy Pizza Boy is a super mario type side-scroller where you can jump on enemies or shoot cans at them. Its a solid game , if you like mario type games its an instabuy.
And that "someone else" that confirms is you. What I'm going on about is when you said this regarding Eddie's picks: "I'm not tempted at all to add those:" I'm not complaining about you not adding games fast enough. What I'm complaining about is you turning what should be a community effort into your own opinionated buyers guide, and then still saying that you're having OTHER people confirm that it's a good game and not your own opinion.
No for third time I'm expecting someone else confirm and this could be me OR someone else. What I wrote in the older post you quote mean that I played those games and myself will not confirm those Eddie choices unlike some other of his choices that I confirm myself. So again if you or someone else want confirm some of the Eddie choices I didn't confirm myself even those I quote I think not worthing it, then do it and yes I'll add them including Psychoban that I mentioned because I think it has a very poor gameplay apart its mid weird mid funny mood. EDIT: I will add to be clear: If "TiltMyTouch and Eddie" mention Psychoban worth to be in best puzzle games of the year with few words to explain, then I'll add it. If then MrX, MrY and MrZ contest this addition I'll remove it.
