Me too! We are working hard on finishing up our major features. In-game buff and debuff system specifically, and establishing a strong first-time play experience.
Ay TA-ites We are getting closer! Currently we are working on - Breakable Items. Smash stuff! - Camera Effects. Make smashing stuff look cooler! - Loot mechanics. Simplifying on one hand, adding a wrinkle on the other. - Arena. Timed encounters, similar to a TD with waves of NPCs to fight. - Compete against your friends to see who can get to the highest wave. - Earn points from the Arena to purchase gear. - Enemies. Adjusted hp, speed etc. Now more unique from each other. - New item tier, Legendary. - New Animations. Casting abilities is cooler! - New / Modified Particle Effects. - New GUI, New Potion mechanics/effects, Buff / Debuff visual system in place. and more! Thanks to everyone who has read and responded to our thread, and thanks to TA for allowing us to show our product in production with the community. Cheers!
How would you define "closer?" Is there a target timeframe for submission? The more playable characters the better.
At the moment the game is fairly mature. We are prioritizing the feature creep, a backlog full of things that must get done, a wishlist of features (another playable character etc), and general game polish. As we currently see it, an early May submission is our anticipated time-frame. When we do know the exact date, it will be posted here ASAP!
If anyone has questions or wants to discuss any aspect of the game, I'll be here to answer and comment. Game Design, mechanics, whatever it is that concerns, confuses, excites you etc Thanks to undeadcow for the link to our GDC video, enjoy! Currently we're attacking our backlog and polishing our environments / adding breakables to all the levels.
Perfect! Grad School ends, this baby drops... question of what to do with mountains of free time and money back in my wallet solved! DBC
Grats on grad school and the baby! lol we had to look up DBC because none of us knew what it meant. Dime by Comparison? We do want to deliver a solid core-game experience for mobile.
"This baby" is PYLON! I cannot imagine having child at this precise moment in my life... DBC = Drummerboycroy, 'cuz you know, I'm lazy. As for Grad School? Congratulate me in a month and two days (not that I'm counting) if and when I survive... DBC
Right now there are no bows or other such ranged weapons in the game. They might be something we can add in a future patch (and certainly it has been discussed amongst the team), but for right now we have swords, maces, staves, and wands. That being said, there are abilities in the dex and int trees that provide a number of ranged options.
Hey there you! For those with higher end devices, you will be happy to know we have added real-time shadows! We've also been optimizing for older devices, namely the iPad 1 and 4th gen iTouch / iPhones. We've finished a polish and detail passes on all the levels, and added breakables objects to each one. The wonderful music of Ryan Eston Paul has also been implemented and we are in the process of finishing up SFX. Additionally, we've added more armor sets and we're currently addressing bugs, tutorials and an overall quality pass of game design in preparation for release. Also, its sunny outside
Thanks saansilt, glad you like them! No you can't fight as the dino dudes, although that is a hilarious and awesome idea. You definitely have to fight 'em.
Ok. Still cool. I can barely contain my excitement. One more question, multiple charecters avalible or no? How did I miss this?
Currently there is only one playable character. We may or may not add another one in the future, but expect there to be just the one character at launch.
