I wanted to love this game. Sadly it has a lot holding back a great concept. #1 many of the upgrades don't work. That's the RPG element broken. #2 the music doesn't match the action. That's the rhythm element broken. #3 double pushing, especially the middle two, often doesn't work. That's the tap element broken. #4 you don't have to click on the beat! Often just spam clicking does a better job. And that's it, game over. Great idea lost in execution. What a shame.
Thanks a lot for your serious feedback, it's very helpful for up to improve this game. We appreciate this.
I am not sure what the problem is, but I cannot catch on to the gameplay at all. I think the disconnect between movement and audio that's been meantioned may be the issue. It seems like a really cool idea. I used to love Guitar Hero back then. I hope this gets sorted because I could see zoning into the music and gameplay if it syncs up.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, and we will resolve this issue in later update and try our best to improve our game by considering your advice seriously.
Very simple gameplay but good execution overall. Thanks for the promo btw. The sync issue is a problem, as this game is just a super basic button timing game. It is neat for what it does and 99cents are perfectly reasonable at this moment. I think it is a little bit bare bone at the moment in terms of content, but this may change later one, or in updates. stars: - 1 for sync issues -1 for bare bone content +3 overall I see potential.
Thanks a lot for your feedback and appreciation. We're aware of and working on the sync issues now. We'll continuously provide updated versions with a better performance and new features. Stay tuned.

Our solution to handle the music/rhythm sync issue Our solution to handle the music/rhythm sync issue 1. Remove the whole original BGM mp3; 2. Use three(maybe four) tracks of note to perform the BGM in realtime; 3. Note sets and drum sets are all using 8-bit/chiptune right now. Why? Because we will provide UGC (User Generated Content) in further updates, then you guys could create/edit/share the music by yourselves. Only one thing you should do is to create/edit/share the configuration files of music which is in JSON format. And of course, we will provide an "Music Editor" in game. Tools we're using: 1. GarageBand 2. Chipsounds
V2.0.0 is published What we do in V2.0.0 of PxBeats 1. Reconstruct the sync process of music/rhythm/enemy array; Totally fix the issue of rhythm not match moving. 2. Add 10 more quest levels. 20 quest levels in total. 3. Add 4 more survive levels. 25 survive levels in total. 4. Add Perfect/Good/Miss tips in survive mode; Optimise the hit rate. 5. Adjust grids from 5 to 6 for battle field. 6. Fix issue in COMBO.
Deffinetely not a rhythm game. Seems unfinished... They should have worked on it and made it really play like a GHclone with RPG mechanics. Thats an awesome idea, but it's not realized in any way.
Checked it out again for a brief amount of time. The sync issues seem fine right now, I will have to play more later, seems like the devs addressed the negative feedback, too early to tell for certain though. If you enjoyed the gameplay but were turned of by the issues, maybe it's time to check it out again.
Thanks a lot for your support, and we really really appreciate it. We'll keep updating and try our best to make it better. Actually, we reconstruct the whole framework of the music/rhythm part. All the music are played in-real time, but not pre-installed background mp3 files. we only store single notes mp3 files(very small size) and music scores in this game. Thus all rhythm/drum points are played in-real time to match the movement of enemies, it means the music is played comply with the enemies' movement, as the traditional way for a music game is objects' movements are complied with the rhythm of the pre-installed background music. The good side effect of this strategy is that the size of game can be reduced a lot, as many classic "MUSIC" games have a very BIG size and you have to download it for a lot time and they are occupied a lot of spaces of your phone.
Thank you for hanging around here and working on the game. Keep it up, I am sure you can make it an exceptional experience. Btw, after putting some more time in the game, I discivered the two main things it needs: 1 - It needs to have penalty for randomly mashing the buttons. Every false swipe should have a cost, represented in something like a separate bar - stamina. You extinguish the stamina bar by not successfully hitting enemies and if your Stamina reaches 0, you lose the round. 2 - Elaborating on my poor choice of words last time: this game is based mainly on te rhtythm of the stages (songs). I feel like it needs to be mire challanging and go with the notes, instead of the rhythm. Thats what most music games get wrong - rhythm following is wasy and boring, it diesnt change. But it wll do good for variety - starting off you follow the rhuthm, then in some time, the game gets harder, same song, but now you are following the melody. And I would personally love some loot to equip to my army, but thats not important.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, we'll keep updating to make it better. And actually, our second game will be published later this week, the game is about how we create the game "PxBeats". We wish you would be interested in it too and comment it. See you soon and keep in touch.
