Excellent - it took quite a while to figure out a control scheme that felt really solid and could still be one handed! And yes, the game does not end if you run out of lives, but you do have to wait to "recharge" at least one life again. Of course buying the adventure pack eliminates the lives altogether.
Thanks. I definitely will buy it the moment I've got some moolah in my account. Lol you guyze deserve it more than me. ETA: By the way, I don't think the game mentioned you can change your view by swiping your character. Might be worth pointing out early on perhaps? Although I'm sure players will figure that out eventually for themselves. I did restart at a couple of points when I thought I was trapped, not realising if I'd changed my view I could have knocked down a couple of blocks and gotten out of there. (It's entirely possible you did mention the view change and it just went over my head).
Hi dev, would be buying this tonight! Love all the games by this dev. Hope phantom rift sales is doing well enough for u guys to make more games. Just curious, will there still be heroes and castle 2, NY zombies 3 and monster adventure 2 in the pipeline? If you can smash heroes and castle and bug heroes together it will be cool too, bugs heroes and castle? Hahaha Any link where I can know the latest updates you guys are doing? Thanks
Yes that's another thing I wanted to point out. The jumping is spot-on I have to reiterate, the controls are some of the best Ive seen in a long time.
Heh, yeah... mentioned that on the first level, and then we mention it again later on What level are you on so far?
Hehe... Hey, do I have to click on the game icon to get it to start, too? D'oh. I knew you wouldn't have forgotten something as simple as that. I was probably just so overeager to play I skipped right through the instructions. I just finished the first layer of rock with every item found, but I've been taking it very, very slowly. Just chilling and exploring every nook and cranny as much as I can. It's more fun that way!
I never figured that out and I have played the beta many hours. Thanks for mentioning it; it is a super helpful tip!
YES! Foursaken has landed once again with a great game. It is a casual experience versus their usual super-deep games, but with that level of gadgets and gimmicks to keep you going. The level progression in difficulty and variety is standard bros, slowly building up to a real challenge. There are also multiple ways to conquer some levels or to get specific treasures and switches; I remember one in particular where you can get at the star chest multiple ways... either climb up or drop it down as you go. There are so many treasures to discover and I would not be surprised if, as the game progresses, there are not even more hidden things to find! I think the game reminds me, less of Spelunky, and more of that odd sequel to Pitfall on the NES... anyone else play that? Spelunky is obvious, of course; you can work yourself into impossible corners, you have little life that can be quickly lost... but its more of a Spelunky-lite and more of a match-3/exploration game hybrid. Absolutely brilliant. Heck, my wife, after watching me was like "Oh, can I try that?" and. she. plays. it. She loves the match-3 aspect and the adventuring as well. Don't know how TouchArcade's going to rate this, but you get 5/5 from me. I could see a more flourished out game with more item variety and etc. etc. but, like any of Foursaken's other expansion and content additions, they would only be adding to complete experiences. Best of luck and hope it brings much $$$ to the bros.

It's free to play. This is just a promo code for early access. Speaking of which, count me in for the contest if there is one.
I would like to thank Forsaken for the provided code and say that I've been hopelessly addicted to the game since I downloaded it. After level 5 it really picked up for me...(seeing the huge gold door was a great incentive to fully complete each level that since then felt like a big puzzle to me). Great stuff.
I participated in the beta and this is probably my favorite FM game! I am on level 18 now. I am waiting for the release version to progress any further as I understand it will be a bit easier (explosives were an insta-kill in the beta but I understand will not be in the release). It looks like the App Store will not currently allow earlier versions to be upgraded without a new promo code; I am guessing this will change when the version is officially available in my region.
The news on the TA page mentioned there are various boosts to buy. What are these exactly? Some kind of hints for each level or boosts similar to other free games when you're allowed to clear the selected color on the board or destroy a part of the screen etc.. Because these are usually ruining the whole balance of the game because its freemium model. I'm always willing to pay for premium content, so the IAP for infinite lives sounds great, but what about the boosts? My last experience with the terrible game The Bot Squad makes me cautious, cause you're allowed to buy infinite batteries, but it doesn't change much, because there are other boosts you need to finish the stage (and even if they're described as "optional") so that's the reason of my concern. How intrusive are the boost, is it possible to finish the later stages without them? Because every game is OK for the first day or so, but when you progress a little, things are suddenly changed. So if someone did participate in beta test or won the promo code and progressed incredibly well and can give some feedback, I'd be greatful. Thanks in advance.
