Thank you so much for the code, guys! Your games are so much more...chunky and filling than other studios' games.
Hi, I want to be in the second round of the early access game (Is it?) competition! EDIT: Nevermind, Foursaken didn't say anything about a second round. Sorry!
This is wonderful. It's like a really beautiful looking Deep Loot- except replace oxygen levels with only being able to mine a certain number of blocks. There's no timer on your back so it ends up being a very chilled, relaxing experience, which is only augmented by the music and feeling of awe you'd probably get from spelunking down a real-life cave. The freemium aspect, at least in the early part, hasn't shown up at all. There's no energy timer only letting you play a certain amount of times; you can replay the same level infinitely to top up on gold or hit all the goals. It looks like you can buy things like a pickaxe with real-life money, but I don't see the point as of yet. Also, I'm totally sick of match three games, but it doesn't feel like one at all. The matching thing is just a cool type of mining mechanic...you never get the feeling like you're playing a glorified game of Puzzle Bobble at all. Yet another piece of perfect genre synergy from Foursaken Studios! Someone should start a thread in General Game Discussion suggesting other genres to mash-up for their next few games. Thanks again for the promo code!
I'd love a promo code too if possible. This game looks great! $4.99 for unlimited lives is quite appealing, actually.
Amazing games, sorry I missed the beta looking forward to Thursday! Psyched about the unlimited lives IAP!
Wow, nice surprise in my inbox...can't wait to get home, and boot this up while watching my Giants...my idea of heaven! thank you for the code!
Please enter me to the contest too. "Infinite lives" reminds me of the numerous lines of 'poke codes' I had to write on my rubber key zx spectrum 48k before loading a game (in the good old days!)
Didn't even notice that you had lives. If it really does get as hard as it looks like it might from the trailer, I think I will have to plump £2.99 for the infinite lives. This game will be waaay more enjoyable and zen not having to worrying about restarting from the very beginning because you accidentally blew yourself up. Still loving it, and I definitely think of that as being more like a Full Unlock purchase than anything. EDIT: I think you may regain lives every half hour? So no need to restart after all! If so, this game is nigh on perfect. I've only used one life so far after a couple of hours of playing (note: make sure to leave a route back up high again so you can go a'lootin' with your spare energy...and to stop yourself getting trapped).
This is really a nice nice game. The controls are great. You can change the colors of the blocks. It's challenging. It has cloud save so you can play on another device. And it looks like there is tons of content. I have a couple questions for the Devs: What is the "Map" purchase? And can you make a purchase before Thursday when the game is officially released? Back to my Giants and my IPAD. Although right now my new game is much more exciting because the Giants are kicking butt.
Thanks! Buying a map uncovers the entire map of the level in the pause screen, including showing where the star is and where any hidden treasure or golden switches are. Of course it also allows you to see the proper route down (which certainly get more complicated as you progress). And yes, you can make purchases before Thursday - what you guys have is the official launch version.
I've never seen a system like that rectangle on the bottom of the screen to control your character before, but it works brilliantly. Some of the type of jumps that have always been tricky with platformers (like boomerang jumping to that block directly above your head) are so easy here. Question: just want to confirm that the game does NOT end when you use your three lives. I'm thinking not, but it's worth asking just in case.
