Bought this game last year when I upgraded from my 3GS. Never crashed once for me on non-jb iPhone 4S with latest software. I didn't update the game however when the IAP was added, as I was happy with the balance. For me, well done game and plays much better than on the good old NDS. I would say for this price it's a great deal.
Those recent negative reviews were a little off putting but I went ahead and grabbed it because I've been wanting to try this game. Only played about a half hour so far but had no issues on my iPad 3 running 6.0. Really enjoyed what little I played too.
That's good to hear as I took the plunge too but have yet to install it as I need to free up some space on my iPad first. I read a review where someone encountered a bug towards the end of the game. Hopefully it's a one off bug or that they'll release an update to fix it.
I'm of similar opinion on my iPad 3 as well. Tried it on my iPhone 5 but wasn't as happy. The extra screen real estate makes a difference in this one. Too many mistouches sent me to the iPad. I'm quite entertained on the iPad though. Glad I bought it now.
It's great on an ipad. I forgot why there are negative reviews, because this is essentially a perfect port on my iPad mini. The only negative is that it's also one of the LARGEST apps on my ipad mini.
Most of the negative reviews are probably from people using iPhones. I tried the free version on my iPhone 5, and the smaller screen definitely does wreak havoc on the precision needed to make some swipes. Kept me from upgrading to the full version, because it was too much of a hassle to input the correct move half the time.
The reviews of crashing and freezing are really holding me back, especially on my "old" 1st gen iPad. Anyone with such an antiquated device can confirm if it runs well on their 1st gen?
yeah same here was thinking about the bad reviews of game crashing/losing hours of progress etc...but have $200 itunes gc got for free, so i'll jump in for a test on my ipad.
After hearing the comments about the game not playing so well on the smaller screen I went to try the free version to figure out if it was worth getting this. The "freemium" version is the same price as the full version's sale price.
