It has a rogue-lite feel to it. You WILL lose, a lot. The game is tough. But you have a permanent progression and you keep money to aid you for further runs. You could easily cheese the game by buying iAPs but if you want a hardcore experience just ignore that and you'll have a good time. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #8 sapphire_neo, Dec 20, 2014 I am loving absolutely everything about this game. It deserves a lot more attention. Highly recommended for fans of Pixel Defenders and Triple Town. Nice game. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to understand what to do. Addicting for sure. I think I encountered a glitch where the hero would not take my forgery no matter what I did, whether it was exactly what he asked for or above. I would drag the item to them as usual and it would just go right back to its slot. Usually the hero would at least say "that's not what I requested". Not even that.....so I had to end the run. Dense Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2009 167 2 18 #13 Dense, Dec 21, 2014 Game Impressions Have been playing this pretty much non stop for the last day. If you like Triple Town, you will really like this game. Regarding IAP, this one is much fairer than Triple Town and the only one you really should buy is the disable ads feature. The rest of the IAP just save you earning the perks via leveling (which you will eventually get if you play long enough and there are a fixed amount). You can also buy gold, which can be used to get one off items but I felt I was earning them at a fairly quick pace that there is really no need to even consider them (you get one for each in-game day you complete and sometimes a legendary chest with multiples). Also, all the items you make sell for gold which lets you buy items very often as you amass your fortune. There is a crazy amount of depth in this game. You will find that once you get the hang of it, games will end up taking days to complete. Every time you think you are about to be stuck, you can often come up with some advanced trick that end up clearing most of the board. There are some really awesome quests and challenges. The achievements looks very difficult which should keep the hardcore games busy for a while. Crafting legendary weapons is something I have only read about but sounds like another element to keep the serious players busy with (the recipes are hidden). Consider this game a hidden gem. Deserves significantly more attention than it is currently getting and puzzle fans should definitely take the time to check it out. With the free pricing there really is no reason not to at least give it a try. Tip: Get the weapon locker upgraded as fast as possible as well as the anvil cool down. I see maxing these out will allow you to progress much further. Put high quality weapons into the locker if you can. As you never know when a few days later you will get an order for one. When I tap the button I'm prompted for my password before swing a price. Apple probably pops up another verification but I can't remember for sure and better safe than sorry. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #16 sapphire_neo, Dec 21, 2014 It's $2.99 to remove ads. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #17 sapphire_neo, Dec 22, 2014 A few tips for anyone playing: * Buy the weapons rack upgrade asap, it's a lifesaver * Give customers weapons of higher grade to up their satisfaction so they give you better gifts * Whenever you have free turns craft a silver or gold weapon to save for later * Place multiple gems around a craft to get a higher single gem in the end, e.g. two silvers combine to become netherium * Sink magic into higher ores to get really high output enchantments * Forge beside frozen tiles to thaw them * Buy a lot of iron, it can be used to combine ores in tricky positions * Comboing into weapons can be useful but also very quickly clutters up your board if you have low storage shadowkhai Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2012 60 0 6 #18 shadowkhai, Dec 22, 2014 Not sure if it's because I lost by running out of space on my forge but I definitely didn't retain the weapons I put into storage on my last run. Thankfully they weren't anything special but I'd hate to lose something great like that. Anyone else have a similar issue? sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #19 sapphire_neo, Dec 22, 2014 I think I've kept my weapons over runs... hard to check right now, still on my best run. shadowkhai Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2012 60 0 6 #20 shadowkhai, Dec 22, 2014 Also I'd like to state how much I hate, loathe, abhor, and generally completely dislike when I go to the chest to use an item that isn't made the default drop when I come back to the forge screen. You'd think I'd learn after so many well laid plans have been ripped asunder by a stupid bronze ore being placed instead of whatever it is I went into the chest to bring out I'd realize the mechanics is to click the damnable thing on the chest to play it but noooooo Mayhaps I am a touch over dramatic due to sleep depravity. But I say fie to that. Fie. In all seriousness I'm going to the chest to use something. Clearly I don't want to just bring something shiny up to look at in the corner of my screen. I want to use it. Even if it's just a toggle so those who like its current mechanics don't get hosed I'd love to see this changed if you are listening Devs. Also hopelessly addicted. Must sleep after, you know, one more go (which I will inevitably ruin trying to play something out of my chest) (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
