This game is really good, but, I uninstalled it almost 10 minute after playing it once I found out that the game requires a constant internet connection. Since the game doesn't appear to save your progress(reinstalling) or offer an iCloud option, I couldn't really understand why the internet connection is needed. The only possible theory I have is that you are REQUIRED to bring someone along for help. If so, this game would've been great for those who don't use wi-fi on their devices that often. Surely it can't be that difficult to code out that out? I know that this is a social rpg, but I feel like that part should be optional.
The devs use the Internet do do events such as special dungeons, double exp or drop rates, so they change these daily. It is a breath of fresh air from the standard puzzle games. Also and most importantly, is that having a required internet connection at all times deters a lot of the shitty wannabe script kiddies who would usually hack the game just to fling about their epeen.
The basic concept of the game is addicting enough to me that missing out on special events wouldn't really bother me that much. I guess that's true, but, there's no pvp or leader boards that I could find on first glance? Hacking the game would only be bad if there were socially competitive features. If there isn't any pvp or leader boards, I guess that having an overpowered friend to help you out would be unfair. Sucks though, as I thought this was a really good game.
4 million+ downloads in Japan alone says this is a good game... Not to mention tons of copycats popping up in the appstore every now and then...
Well, I don't know about you, but, the amount of people playing a game is irrelevant to me in determining whether a game is good. It's whether the game feels good to the individual. Take angry birds for example. It probably has 500 million downloads and counting, but, the game doesn't feel exciting to me. P&D was one of those game whose mechanics felt really addicting and well designed for me. Most of the copycats(at least the ones I thought were a copy) didn't look really good, but if any of them don't require a constant connection, I might as well try it out. Could you name 1 or 2?
Thanks to Wall25 aka wavelord, without your blue odin I wouldnt have finally beaten the keeper of rainbow. had to waste 1 stone to revive but it was stupid me not paying attention was not at full life when he hit me.
No prob bro ( haha I have the green one) yea I went through the same bs when I fought the keeper of light .. You def have to pay attention in the later stages of the game.. Too many damn 1 hit kill monsters ;/
the game is rewarding me right after had enough stamina to do the gold dungeon. First stage a KING so sick!!!
Don't forget that rare egg pulls with magic stones is the ONLY way to obtain some monsters. With how rare and expensive(!) the magic stones are, they need the internet connection so that you don't try to kill your game if you don't get the rare that you want. With how some ppl play this game, they should be making a killing off the IAPs.
Yeah, i've seen people despaired in the chinese forums because they cannot find ways to hack the game heh heh!
In truth, wavelord had been my only green Odin friend for a while. I expect I'm personally responsible for about 400 of his friend points. I'm "envy" btw.
Speaking of internet connection and some dungeons taking a loooooong time... I assume I'm not the only one who started a dungeon only to have something come up and having to put the game down halfway through and then when you get back to it the game reloads and you lost all progress in that dungeon (because you or someone else loads a different app that needed the memory). Just wanted to make sure there's no way to "save" so you can pick up where you left off, even if the game re-loads... Also, anyone know if some sort of iCloud support is coming to allow you to play the same profile on different devices?
I've never lost progress in a dungeon that I've sat on for a while. I often times start a dungeon and not finish it but a few hours later...especially if its a special dragon dungeon and I just didn't have time to play right then and there.
Just a quick question, are any of the colored devils(evolve into Demons) worth keeping and building up?? Or are they not worth the space?? Also ive been trying to go back and figure out the best place to farm dragon plants and forgot where I used to get them, been rereading some pages in here but cant find it, any advice?? Thanks
so far i got loki, lvl 4 black dragon, and lvl 4 blue dragon. the rest are lvl 1s and lvl 3s im so lucky to get loki at lvl 1 when i started playing. but the damn thing cost 30 unit points
Haha Well I'm glad I can help... I'm just focused on making Odin stronger with the special dungeons now... Speaking of special dungeons, I just finished the expert Room of Mask Wednesday dungeon and I'm so pissed nothing dropped :/ Smh
Need a blue mask got red, purple and light. I'm so pissed. Anyone know what you have to feed Lilith to power up akill
