If you go with the light team, try for a Valkyrie as they are orb changers. They don't seem too hard to get from the rare egg machine as I have drawn her twice (and I'm not someone who pays for alot of magic stones).
Wow 230? Never mind then haha. I'm rank 83 and just evolved dual attribute Neptune, dual element Tiamat x2, and an alraune so I freed up a bunch of slots. Hopefully that lasts me a while
I'm rank 81 and currently have 110 slots which I often fill up. I have 20 gems collected so I guess I could bump it up. I'd say my 110 slots is 1/3 monsters I am using/fusing up and 2/3 evo material... Wow, 230 slots? What's the strategy for having so many? At first I thought I'd want to collect one of each creature I collected but then I realized that's what the Monster Book is for and what's the sense in keeping something I would never ever use... So I sell/fuse anything I don't think I'll ever use.
The biggest need for slots with me is to accommodate pengdra materials. I try to get at least 25-30 dragon plants during the Thursday dungeon so that I can evolve about 10 pengdras of each color during the week. This has gotten a little bit worse now that they went with the "jeweled dragon" dungeons instead of having a whole day of blue, then a whole day of green, etc. Before, I could spend one day gathering blue pengdras, the next day evolving them, the next day gathering green, etc. Now I'm never sure which color I'm going to be able to get from the limited time dungeon since I can't be available for all 3 time slots reliably.
Do you mind explaining the whole pendragon upgrade strategy? - which dungeon to get which pendragon - necessary evolve materials - what the benefits are? I have access to the special dungeons but haven't really exploited them, so i'm sure that i'm not playing most efficiently. Just evolved my ancient dragon knight so i think it's time to get serious about this game, thanks.
Generally folks run pengdras like-so: - Farm for dragon plants from the Thursday dungeon (probably the most time-efficient way to get a lot of dragon plants) - Farm for green/blue/red pengdras from the first dungeon of the lowest tier technical dungeon for the respective color (probably the most time-efficient location to grab pengdras due to less types of drops) - Use a chimera+carbuncle or a chimera fed to another chimera to max level the pengdras of corresponding color (you should get a decent amount of these fusion materials as you farm pengdras) - Farm for the appropriate color metal dragons as their event dungeons appear, saving the little metal dragons (feed the kings and highs to the appropriate color monster for max efficiency, or to your preferred monster otherwise) - Evolve each max level pengdra using one dragon plant and two metal dragons of the appropriate color. Evolved pengdras net you 30K XP (or 45K with the 1.5x color matching bonus) when used in fusions, which gives you another efficient mechanism for leveling your monsters (and an outlet for all of those little colored dragons you accumulate).
Thanks. Another question: Once I get to the last evolution of a monster (the one that has 99 levels), if I have other monsters to work on evolving, is there a certain minimal or optimal level I should get these last form monsters to? It's really expensive to level these guys up, yet the increase in stats don't seem great.
For me, the rule is that I stop leveling them when I'm getting less than 3 levels per 2 pendras. I think for most monster this starts around level 55. There are exceptions for me. If a monster is something I think others will frequently use as helper, ill keep pushing it up. Examples are Amaterasu and adk. Oh also, some monsters have a exponential looking increase to at least 1 stat. Generally, those are the monsters that require a ton of exp to gain a single level. Puzzledragonx.com has begun showing stat increase charts on some monster pages.
uG! Finished Tuesday's Keeper of the Rainbow dungeon for the first time today. Took, like, almost two hours. Beat the last guy assuming I'd get an egg which I need to evolve my Earth Guardian and low-and-behold no egg for Keeper of the Rainbow. I can't seem to find the drop rate for it online but I've learned it's not 100%... am I just not seeing it on this page?: http://puzzledragonx.com/en/monster.asp?n=321 Anyone know the drop % of it so I know what I'm getting myself into?
If you can, wait until there is a double drop rate. Even then it seems like your chances are 50%. The next time there's a double drop rate will likely be a download or user milestone ie 1million download. Or a holiday. Maybe st Patrick's. Otherwise expect to spend a lot of time waiting. Personally, i would wait to evolve
Got it thanks. I may try one or two more times anyway since I'm stuck on other dungeons anyway (I finished all the technical dungeons and I'm now stuck on Hyperion Lava Flow in Normal dungeons). My team size is stuck at 69/92. If I could evolve this one guy he'd fill that up a bit and greatly increase my team's HP... I'm still curious if there's a resource that lists the estimated drop % for all monsters...
Not that I know about. And there is a large demand for that kind of info. There are resources that will tell which dungeons have a drop rate above 0% and if that drop rate is 100%. But nothing about the range in between. A good rule is that the harder a dungeon is the greater the chance a monster will drop.
I'm around rank 130 and have 200. I mainly need them because I keep 5-10 of each Evo Material on hand and mainly use Pengdra to level up. I always run out of Dragon Plants so I hang onto all the Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald Dragons I get until Thursday finally comes around again!
Got it, thanks. I tried going through Keep of the Rainbow 5 times yesterday and I never got the drop -- oh well. Guess I'll have to wait until there's a drop bonus...
@GungHo :- Any word on a wider release for this game, still waiting here in the UK... Read this today too (link bellow) so surely it's not a matter of lack of finance that's preventing a global release. http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/20/puzzle-dragons-brings-in-2-million-every-day-report/
We haven't received any news from the team about releasing the game in more regions, but we will keep everyone informed if this changes. There has certainly been a lot of interest coming from the UK.
I generally don't bother with the daily dungeons unless there's a bonus drop rate. I think keeper dungeons will have it next week.
I understand a lot of people here don't like connecting through Facebook - so here is the post I made there earlier. Sorry it's not more specific with dates, but I will keep everyone updated as I can: The Puzzle & Dragons team is working on the US update, and while we dont have an official date just yet, we can inform you that we plan to jump straight from version 4.2 to 5.0! This means brand new Monsters, more powerful evolutions, the ability to create and choose from multiple preset teams, an increased Monster Box limit, and more! Which features are you most looking forward to?
