So just starting to try this game out and a little confused on party strategy. In that random egg game, I got a green Highlander, so I made him my leader. I also had the green starter. So do I want to focus my whole party on green monsters? Or diversify with a range of colors and skills?
Using a single color team is fine at the beginning, but I'm finding out that I have to have certain teams to progress. I'm in the process of building a fire team to get through the first technique dungeon for instance. Keep your 3 star and beyond monsters of different types because you'll need them later.
i'm playing both japanese and US apps. I've noticed different versions : 4.3 for the japanese app and 4.21 for the US one. 474 vs 387 monsters. @kurisu628 besides monsters count do you know the other features we will get when GungHo updates the US version ? Maybe GungHo CM can commit to a date. Thanks
Anyone have a siren or water guard asgard can add me? Need help beating a fire boss. Other than Big Combo, is there a website or any other tools that can help with chaining?
I wish! Though getting my S.O. addicted to the game and us messaging each other when we notice the alert dungeons has been working pretty grandly so far... (^∇^)v
Well, in 4.3, besides extra monsters and dungeons (which were ultimate evolutions and a cross promotion with Squenix's Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders), we got: 1. The ability to do multiple egg pulls at once, up to ten times/2000 friend points 2. Better visual cues when you've selected the right combination of monsters for an ultimate evolution 3. Scaling up of some monsters' skill damage 4. Bug squashes and general brush-ups. ...as for when the US'd get the update, I'd guess it'll be when GungHo negotiates the terms for the crossover promotion for markets outside Japan.
@Spite: I don't know how gifting apps to overseas friends works, but you could do that maybe...and of course there's other, less savory ways of obtaining apps. ( ̄3 ̄)〜♪ The guy in that YouTube video you linked is a veteran. My games look pretty much exactly the same; it's really matter of practice. Here's a method to try: 1. Put any of the monsters that extend the time you can move jewels as a leader or sub-leader (#96 Succubus, #97 Lilith, #207 Lilith the Midnight Sorceress-or-however-it's-translated, #140 Yomi, #141 Tsukuyomi, #189 Hera or #190 Awakened Hera) 2. Build a team with as few colors as possible; single color is best but not strictly required 3. Go to a dungeon that you won't easily die in 4. Practice chain-matching the colors that your team doesn't have, and occasionally the ones you do, to advance at your own pace ...another indispensable practice is to ALWAYS let your movement timer "run out;" as there's no penalty for it, there's no reason to lift your finger from the screen until you start dealing damage. Learn to keep moving jewels until the very end, and if you can, always end your move by matching the jewel you're moving around.
Being 100% serious, but has anyone actually gotten a room in the Enhance Dragon dungeons that doesn't contain 3-star dragons (bar the final room). I've legitimately gotten over 30 3-star sapphire dragons and 20 3-star metal dragons yesterday and today combined
Ya I don't know anyone who is using a japanese itunes account, and just really having a hard time getting past fire forest stages since my team is pretty weak. Looking for 5 star healer helper!! Please add me.
Here are my monsters at the moment. My team typically consists of a combination of attack/hp to give me a buffer for the dungeons. I don't have a fire team as of yet to kill the technical dungeon "Fertile Land" as of yet. I got my tail handed to me the last time i attempted it. Currently it seems as if I am simply lacking DPS. Now that I am in the higher dungeons, even stringing together 6+ combos doesn't seem to do much for the mobs health. I am starting to attempt to run a balanced team, but I am having difficulty going Wood/Dark when I try to stack my best team. Any tips? Currently, there aren't any efficient dungeons to really farm for mobs to burn, to level my monsters more. I'd like to get them capped and onto 5 stars, but I don't have enough monsters to eat.
Does anyone know what Evolve Materials do I need in order to Evolve my Tyran to Tyrannos? I already have Dragon Plant but it needs something else.
Anyone can tell me what kind of stats do I need so I can start farming the technique dungeons for the masks? Hp, Atk wise.
hey all! i heard about p&d from the toucharcade article about angel salvation and am so glad we get to finally play the real deal... it's so much better! i'm just starting out so i'm weak but if anyone wants to add me the code is 330,831,287
@JupiterDark: You need a #155 Rubylit. Look for them in the Fire Dungeon, the first one after the tutorial.
@Spite: to farm for the masks #171 - #175, you've got to be able to mitigate a 9999 damage attack; then you've got to go through a defense which reduces most all damage to 1. At rank 117 and a team of level 40+ five- and six- star monsters, I'm able, but reluctant, to do it by brute force. Instead, I recommend either the "zombie team" strategy I've talked about before (read the thread and beware the pitfalls), or...Poison. Several black monsters (and one blue and now a green) have the ability to poison the enemy. Once poisoned, enemies take damage every turn equal either to the poisoner's ATK, or double the poisoner's ATK. Poison is unstackable, but never wears off, and the damage ignores all defense. That's right. ALL DEFENSE. Monsters who can poison are #96 Succubus, #97 Lilith, #207 Lilith the Whatever, #124 Neptune, #125 Neptune the Whatever, and (for now) JP only #463 Marlboro and #464 King Marlboro.
@Back 5: I'd try a green/blue/black team with Fafnir leading, and Lilith, Highlander, Dragon Knight and Mermaid as members. If you take a white or red monster with you from your friend list you can cover that color, but you can also use the various jewel-changing skills you've got to transform the board as you need to. Your damage backbone is obviously your green monsters, whose ATK is doubled by Fafnir. Mermaid can serve double duty as healer and support for Highlander, and Lilith's got poison for bosses and general DPS. See if it works for you!
