But is it better than it clones? krautboy Well-Known Member Apr 20, 2011 476 0 16 #3 krautboy, Nov 8, 2012 So it's available in germany? Doesn't show up in the dutch app store. Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #4 Vovin, Nov 8, 2012 Last edited: Nov 8, 2012 Downloaded it via my US account. It's better than Angel Salvation, Dragems and The Lost Palace and as good as Jewel Dragon. It runs and plays smoother than the clones. There's more polish in. If you're into it this type of games... well, it's free, so go for it. I rate the games in the following order: 1. Puzzle & Dragons 2. Jewel Dragon 3. Angel Salvation 4. Dragems 5. The Lost Palace madebymadison Well-Known Member Mar 8, 2011 356 0 0 Artist #5 madebymadison, Nov 8, 2012 Not in the Dutch Store, damn. It's supposed to be a fantastic game. And in the Japanese Store, it has a Taiko No Tatsujin cameo. Chiskle Active Member Jun 14, 2012 27 0 0 #11 Chiskle, Nov 8, 2012 I play a lot of Angel Salvation, and this is practically the same. I greatly prefer the look of AS, but welcome the easiness of getting in app currency--diamonds. The mechanics are smoother here as well. It might still come down to aesthetics, however. AS has more MtG type art while P&D is akin to Pokemon art. Over all they're the same game. valariel Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2011 90 0 0 #12 valariel, Nov 9, 2012 Puzzle & Dragons http://digitaljournal.com/pr/918482 Just a heads-up guys, Japan No.1 best selling game has been released in US Appstore. madebymadison Well-Known Member Mar 8, 2011 356 0 0 Artist #13 madebymadison, Nov 9, 2012 God why not worldwide. valariel Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2011 90 0 0 #14 valariel, Nov 9, 2012 Just create an account in US appstore, the game is free so you won't need credit card info if you sign up via the app. Hope Sanaku or other gurus will post some game impression soon=) RichRuzz Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2012 576 0 16 #15 RichRuzz, Nov 9, 2012 Which is the "original" I'd feel safer with the non clone. You can download it via the japanese Appstore, or via the US AppStore. You just need a constant internet connection. But ok, guys, I'll post a quick overview over the existing games, so it's maybe easier for you to chose which you would like. Basically they are all the same in gameplay, but differ in style: Puzzle & Dragon: get this if you are more into the pocket monster style and add some big dragons and a few kawaii girls. This is also the original game and plays in the smoothest way, has the most and best effects and a very fluid gameplay. Easy to earn in-game currency without IAP. Angel Salvation: get this if you are more the dark fantasy type and look for diablo similiarities in graphics and style. This game gets a bit more difficult later. Not unfair, but very challenging. Jewel Dragon: get this if you love high fantasy, more anime and manga style with a lot of fan service (fan service = babes with very large eyes, big breasts and long legs, only barely dressed). Big advantage of this game: you can also swap the gems diagonally*, having access to better strategies and higher combos. Dragems: same here, babes (in lingerie) and dragons and monsters and stuff. Seems not to have the feature of diagonal gem swaps - or I haven't found or managed to do it. Closest clone of Puzzle & Dragons. The Lost Palace: looks good but can't tell you anything about it, because it refused to work on my device. Devs had server problems at the start. The Lost Palace looks like a mix of various fantasy genres and is very colorful. Boobs included. *A last note: the ability to swap gems diagonally means that you can exchange two diagonally connected gems without having to go (and therefore moving) another gem around horizontally or vertically when lining up combos. Hope that helped. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
