Thanks for the tip. I did it! It actually wasn't that hard but I did have to use a handful of tools to clear everything out.
@xraydash Great to hear it. Glad you like the game. Guys. Patch 1.02 is on it's way. A lot of issues fixed. Stability, tools etc. We are finishing it today and give it Chillingo for tests, and then it will go strait to Appstore. I will keep you updated. Best
bah I almost finished the game now and the patch wil probably be live exactly when I'm done... I have a ipod touch 4G and the game crashes very often. This is very annoying since the loading sequence takes so long, which makes a crash even more annoying... Too bad that that bugs ruined a bit my experience since the game was otherwise very nice. IF there will be a sequel one day then get rid of those big bugs first and implement other puzzle theme, like maybe fishing Because only 2 themes was a bit meager.
Hey MissDjax New update 1.02 with fixed stability on ipod is on the way. Also we are working on new content update, so in the future there will be opportunity to enjoy the game again. Best.
Something I think would be neat is some sort of scored mode in which power-ups are either not allowed or issued within the challenge itself. This comes to mind since, as it is now, the highscores are completely meaningless since they could be either the result of somebody just emptying their bank account of real money to buy an infinite amount of power-ups, or, even if not using outside funds, it also could be due to some player saving up power-ups for weeks before playing the one session. I'm just looking for a scored mode in which everybody is on an even footing except for their own varied skill levels at the game's mechanics.
God this is addictive! I am glad I now built everything that could be built so I can go back to my life. Now to be objective, there is nothing much of a challenge with the match 3 mechanics, it is just about keeping playing to get money and items and build more stuff to be able to collect money and items faster......
Lord Geek Regarding highscore: yeah, I know what you're talking about, but new content update will be really challenging.
Upgraded to iOS 6.0 GM and it crashes on the ipad 3 when trying to create a new town. Works ok on the phone 4S.
That's what happens when you use An unreleased version of iOS . But seeing as we have 3 days until it drops and that's the "final" version you're basically using... Then that is a bit disconcerting. I wonder how much of an issue the incompatibility iOS 6 will be with other apps.
I just got the "Girl's best friend" achievement. Devs, you do know that refers to the idea of girls going after men for their riches, right? It's not a cute joke about diamonds. It's kind of offensive to say that about women, that women are gold diggers. I hope you think more about it when you name your achievements in the future.
I think it can be a famous song and also kind of offensive. It doesn't bother me but I can see how it would bother some people.
It's a famous song about good digging. However, in this case it's basically just a pop culture reference, the kind you often see in achievement titles. I'd be more worried about the sexual division of labor actually. Women in PC basically bake, tend to the garden, and pick, while men do most of the farming and all the mining and science
Hey, Plynx Seriously, we didn't want to be offensive to anyone. Please take a look at the names of achievements and there are several with the same name as famous movies or songs like: Money for Nothing, Summer in the City, Diamonds are Forever, Girl's best friend, Dust to Dust, American Pie, Three little pigs or Fields of Gold. No negative thoughts behind them, just coincidence.
I didn't think you meant it that way, it probably never occurred to you. It shocked me all the same. Girl gamers have it rough, not all gaming communities are welcoming of girls to say the least. Not like you did anything wrong per se, but even so in the moment I felt like maybe this was supposed to be a boy's club and I didn't get the memo. So I just put it out there as something to think about. The male worker thing too. I sure would like to see a female lumberjack or miner. It would be great and I think girls would like it. So it's a nice thing you can do for girls who don't always feel the most welcome in gaming, to look at the genders and achievement names and stuff and think it over from that perspective. You don't have to, it's not a great big "should," but it's really appreciated if you do. Thanks for listening!
Plynx, sure I've got your point of view. If it comes to workers: Puzzle Craft have this medieval feeling and that time you could hardly spot miner or lumberjack who will be a woman. But we've got your point and in upcoming content update in the future we will have more female workers! Best.
Actually the historical fact is that in feudal and medieval times, women were almost always doing hard labor (not that cooking/cleaning isn't really grueling in itself). Rural communities have always traditionally been pretty equal in terms of division of labor. Men and women shared work because there was no other choice-- especially if you were among 99% of all people who were dirt poor and not some rich aristocrat. It's only been within the last few hundred years, with the introduction of wages and the enclosure/loss of small farms, that it has shifted. What you see in movies and other pop culture set in these historical settings is usually totally inaccurate. History/sociology nerd stuff aside, I think that person has a good point and it's cool that you didn't write off their concerns. I sometimes feel a bit left out of games too. Thanks!
Hey Hero, The problem is that if we include hi-res graphics to the game we will exceed 50 Mb barrier for 3G users. Game is pretty rich if it comes to the content. So for now we have to put that back. We've implemented some elements in HD but for the reason above we cannot do full HD content for the game and still stay bellow 50 MB. We will think how to handle this problem in the future.
