The barn and animal pen. As you upgrade them, more things can produce free turns. Matching rats is always a free turn for some reason.
Loving this game. Totally addicted. I set up my scarecrow very close to the field. Sometimes when I am collecting all my goodies from my scarecrow, I accidentally hit the button that asks me to start farming. When I do this, all my tools that I have not collected yet disappear. I try to make sure this doesn't happen but I put them so close that sometimes my finger hits it. It's not a major bug or anything, but just beware that you don't put stuff too close to the farming button. It would be cool to fix this in an upcoming fix but not 100% necessary. Great game. Good work guys. I saw one post about potentially adding armies. Love that idea, even if it is a new standalone game with the same mechanic.
Don't you worry. All bonuses/tools which are already on the village pick up automaticaly when you open any popup or change section (ie. stats, workers etc). It's done mostly for players who are bored with picking things one by one. So you are still receive them. Best
Well, I got my wife hooked on Puzzle Craft too, but she did say she wishes there were more puzzle types (aside from farming and mining). Any chance we'll see a new puzzle area or two in a future update(s)?
Finally got it to work. Seems good especially considering that I'm a Dungeon Raid addict. Got to lvl 9 already.
ArsThanea: Late into the game, when all the buildings have been obtained, it seems like very little iron shows up in the mine. I realize this is related to the fact that more precious metals appear, but I am still getting a decent amount of stone. Are you aware of this?
Either the Ratcatcher or the Kernel provides that extra benefit. Almost everything in Harvest has a free turn except weeds and trees. Seriously, you get so many free turns that 1 round can really drag out if you keep using tools. I think there's a bug with the achievement to collect 1000 gold in taxes. My summary page shows I've collected 2980 gold yet the achievement is still blanked out.
That's your idea of quickly? Pretty much any app will drain near 100% battery of any iPhone/touch device in 4-5 hours of continuous usage, and a lot of games will near drain the battery in 1-2 hours (and sometimes less time than that). If you can game 3+ hours for around 80%, that's very good performance.
First off, great game. Picked it up last week and played it all weekend. Level 18 now, over 3000 gold (with no IAP). Question regarding recruits: since there appears to be a finite number of positions available for workers (5 x each job type), Im worried that using the recruiter house to get new workers into my town too many times will result in my running out of jobs, meaning Ill eventually be buying houses/mansions but the inhabitants will have no places to work. Is this a legitimate concern, or are the number of recruits limited to prevent this? Ideally Id like everyone in my town to have a job, so Ive limited the number of recruits Ive bought to only 2 or 3, and Ive returned to waiting for houses/mansions to be unlocked to get more workers. Any idea how many recruits I can buy without penalizing future inhabitants with unemployment?
Dzień dobry! It's good to see that the developer ArsThanea is active in here in here and in touch with us. I really enjoyed Puzzle Craft until the "no string" Error (I already sent you an email with all details, the name is Daniel). I have a few thoughts regarding future updates, changes or a sequel: + another field (water would be great, someone mentioned it already) + another puzzle technique on a new field (i. e. similar to bejeweled or puzzle bobble) + visitors coming to town (extras, goodies, quests, thieves) + a little story or maybe quests for rewards - please do not add battles to this game, at least not to this version. The girls I know won't like it. Other features for a sequel can be: multiplayer (battle other players in puzzle mode or help them farming), weather all over the map of the city. Balancing is great, don't change it! Dziękuję
Puzzle Craft questions v3 slewis7 Yes we are aware of it. The mine gets more industrial and it's part of the balance that in endgame you have to fight for basic resources or buy them in shop. bficky Don't worry. You can have as much unemployed workers as you want to. So every free worker in your town can be assigned to job. Go crazy! tripleeyedsnake Great ideas. We are putting all of them on the list to reconsider. Some of them are quite promising. Proszę .
I'll have what he's having. Seriously, I love every one of those ideas, and heck, I'd pay for it as DLC/IAP.
No, this is not what I mean. I mean there was a message that appears early in the game saying that the time used to press on the icons to make the matches are NOT counted toward the time for the season so the season lasts longer. I don't recall this having to do with the buildings. Somehow, when I replay the game (start from scratch), I did not see that same message again. When is this message supposed to appear? At what stage?
The previous response was correct. Tile matches not coutning towards your limit has to do with the purchased buildings.
Are you certain? I asked that question because I distinctly remembered this message early in the game but yet it was quite early that I did not even have the funds to buy the barns for the free move. Subsequently, I could not find the message anymore. It was nothing to do with matching grains or animals to get free move, but rather the time you take to hold down the icons and make the matches.
Ars, thanks for the reply. I figured that I could have as many unemployed people as I wanted... it's that I don't want any, as that is a waste of the resources to get them (either by building houses/mansions or recruiting them). Is there a limit to how many people you can recruit? If the number of people you get from building houses/mansions + the max number of recruits = the total number of jobs possible, then that's perfect. If it's more than the total number of jobs, I'd rather spend my resources on something other than recruits so that the inhabitants that come with houses/mansions are not "wasted" by being unemployed.
The game is turn-based. There is no time pressure because nothing happens until a match is completed. I think the message you are referring to simply stated this fact.
Oh, my apologies then. I thought you were referring to the grain/animal matches. I am not sure what you mean then. Are you saying if you hold down on the tiles for a certain amount of time before making a match it is a free move? I know ARS posted a "tip" quite a few pages back saying to hold down every tile individually for 2 seconds for a surprise, and I have tried doing that but nothing happened.
