Does it matter where you put the various building and upgrades? Or are they just entirely cosmetic? Do you need to group all the houses of the same type at the same place?
Hmph...sounds like it's happening to folks the further into the game they get. I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't hold off on playing too much more until an update fixes the problem. Would really hate to lose my progress.
I also seem to have lost my save...getting the same 'no string' message. Very frustrating, I was getting pretty far.
We are working hard to pin down the cause of the "no string" bug and will be releasing a hotfix update as soon as possible. This is a new bug and you can help us fixing it by sending us info on what device and iOS version you were playing when the bug happened (post it here, or just send a Private Message). We are very sorry for this bug and will fix it as soon as possible.
I have iPhone 4, 32 gb, latest IOS. I guess I was about level 15, lots of coins, and doing fairly well when suddenly someone stole all the strings and ending my game. Please fix it, so Pedrotown can continue to prosper. Pedroapan
Puzzle Craft questions Hey Guys, Thank you for positive feedback. We will put next update very soon. It's almost ready. As soon it's in Apple we will inform you on this forum and Facebook. facebook.com/puzzlecraftgame Answers for your questions: 1. Placing buildings in various places is just for various village look purposes, doesn't affect the gameplay. 2. Replayability: It depends on the player. I've played game so many times I couldn't count but still is a pleasure. You can test different strategy into the game. So some people start with hiring workers for the fields and then for the mine. In other game you can try oposite to check difference. One guy finished it never visited the mine (apart tutorial). We are also thinking about some endless mode in one of upcoming updates. 3. Reseting the game- you begin new game with 100 COINS on start. So you will loose all you progress, but your stats and achievements on GameCenter stays. It's mainly for multiple users playing the same device. 4. If you're looking for challenge try get a trophy! If you have any other questions just ask. Bartek
End of the line..Nooo i want to keep going So that conforms that when i finish the game thats it start all over again, i would really like to see this endless mode you thinking off. Will there in the future be possble updates with new content or what we playing is "set in stone" so to speak apart from bug fixs such as the string issue?
A few questions: How do the rats work exactly? Are they eating from your stores of food, or from what's on the field? When do they eat the food? When the timer over their heads counts down, or if they line up to make a match (like the gas in the mine)? Is the cat the only way to combat them? How do the free turns work? Are they random, or do you earn free turns by matching in a certain way? Thanks
i really like the game... its polished, relaxing and very addictive! BUT unbalanced rates and continous IAP "encouragment" really leaves a bad taste. btw, i would gladly pay another 2-3 bucks for a IAP (annoyance?) free version. DEVS, how about it?
The rats eat crop items in the field. The countdown on their head goes down by one per turn, the rat then jumps and eats either a wheat or carrot. If they line up, you can clear by matching them like you would with the other things in the field. They give exp. You can do that with wolves too. Free turns work when you match certain items. Certain buildings will allow you to match wheats and chickens without the day timer counting down when you do. HTH
Rats eat grain/carrot/apple when the timer above their head reaches 0. They will jump to any food tile on the screen. You can line 3 rats up to kill them. Cats are one way but they cost chicken to produce. Later on, you get buildings that allow you to match different tiles. I won't spoil it anymore. Free turn occurs when you have the specific building. What unbalanced rates? What IAP encouragement? It's basically a confirm screen after every round, you can choose to extend or carry over the screen if you want to pay gold for it. I seriously doubt why anyone is still complaining about it. The developers already said people completed the game without IAP. It's just a shortcut. Don't blame them if you don't have self-control. Apple doesn't allow 2 different paid versions of a game. So your suggestion is useless.
Bartek, Can you comment on what you mean by "finish(ing)" the game? What is the ultimate end state? Is there some sort of equilibrium when the game will achieve in which there is no further "goal" to pursue? What is the average play time to reach that stage (barring individual variability)? As well, is there any point trying to keep the food stolen (by rats) or explosion (in mine) to 0 at all cost? Sometimes, I will just let the rats go if the crop in the field is not important. I notice that these are stats kept by the game, but I want to know if I should pursue this as a goal because of some achievement down the road.
Is it possible to buy too many of one type of worker, leaving you with no space left for the rest? I've only bought one of each too far, as I'm not sure how many I'm allowed in total.
Janni, I have sign no sign of IAP encouragement in this game whatsoever. There *is* encouragement to spend coins, but that's not the same thing, since coins are earned through the game. I had 2000 at one point, then started spending some of them. Midian, not that I can tell. You continue to get more buildings that let you hire more workers. I actually regret not ramping up my carrot farming earlier. It doesn't seem like you need it early, then you hit a carrot wall in the teens.
ie. after some farming (which costs 30 coins), i'm "encouraged" every time (with a very well placed buying button) to save 1 carrot and 1 pig for 200 coins. but you can buy the whole carrot-soup for 110 coins! you think thats balanced or coins thrown out of the window (paid or grinded doesn't matter)? don't get me wrong, i'm really enjoying the game and it's for sure great value for a buck, but i hardly can recommend it to my friends with a "business model" like this... and note, not everyone has so much self-control like you and me
Weird, I always have tons of carrots but lacking in chicken. You can hire extra workers from other villages with 6 bread, 1 carrot and 6 iron. I'm currently level 20 now, I have not hit a workers limit yet with 8 X 5 maxed out workers and the Worker for Hire at 7.
The game gives you choices. You choose whether you want to spend the 200 coins or not. You're basically complaining about the freedom Puzzle Craft allows you. 200 coins isn't a lot if you have 10 apples and 10 cows on the screen with no turns left. Common sense tells you that 1 carrot and 1 pig isn't worth the coins. So what's the problem? You're basically not recommending this to your friends based on your prejudice towards IAP even if they're done correctly. Shame on you.
