I'm sure of all our little music threads we have going, this one is going to be the least popular, but let's give it a go, as Punk is one of my favourite genres of music. I like stuff anywhere in between: Bad Religion old AFI Misfits (with Danzig) Black Flag 59 Times the Pain old Anti-Flag old Distillers The Circle Jerks old Rancid Dead Milkmen Dead Kennedys old Rise Against Husker Du Pennywise The Unseen Tiger Army (though they are more Psychobilly) Gutter Mouth Minor Threat Fugazi Suicidal Tendancies Tsunami Bomb Toy Dolls old NoFX The Vandals Nekromantix (Again, more Psychobilly) Operation Ivy Reagan Youth Just a small list ^.^
Why? Then it would just be another dead music thread. I don't want that. lol This way we can talk about certain general genres and not have to worry about other people who have no interest in the genre talk about something else. That made sense. I LOVE old Rise Against but their new stuff is... meh. Getting less and less punk and more alternative. That is the problem with most of these mainstream Punk bands though. Their first starting shit is so good then they get recognized and then their music magically goes to shit. But that's the problem with a lot of bands I like/used to like. No matter what genre.
I don't know, just looks untidy to me having 3 of the threads of the first page being about music. I guess it's okay though, most of them will die off in a week or so. Then in a few months or something someone will make a new one (cause lets face it, hardly anyone uses the search function)
General music threads are just stupid. Most of my posts would just be rants on how many people like awful music.
The only thing I owe them is a thin film of scum from my nutsack. LOL Nah I appriciate their place in the Punk Rock community, but I feel the same way with them as I do the Beatles. Just because they were founders of so many genres of music, doesn't mean they didn't suck.
Mannn I used to think you at least knew a bit about music boosh. I can understand if you just didn't like the Beatles, but to say they suck is just wrong. That's right:

Meh never been into much "strict" punk - I prefer the New Wave stuff, Oingo Boingo, XTC, Talking Heads, first four Peter Gabriel solo albums, etc. I liked The Clash I just never choose to listen to them on my own time.
That shit is fantastic. Talking Heads are one of my favourite bands, and I never knew of anyone who liked Oingo Boingo so you get bonus cookies there. Their shit rocks.
