Just want to wish you guys good luck. I got this game on release, and you WERE kind enough to provide warnings during the update process. I know the ultra hats and belts are special (and belts didn't exist until recently); I would buy the coin doubler if the perks and special moves hadn't exponentially increased in price (especially the perks). And I think 5 bucks is a bit excessive for the new mode, but whatever you think is best.
Finally beat gnorb today, i have pictures to if someone can tell me how to upload them from my ipod. Was kinda shocked at how small the reward was, but he certainly was an ingenious and devious bad guy.
That is the problem - 6 updates so far and you couldn't figure it out. Pricing should be something you think about BEFORE a game is released. I almost lost hope. I didn't open punch quest for about a month now and I don't feel like missing it.
Assuming you have a PC. Attach the white usb cable to your computer. Go to the start menu and select "computer". You should see a new drive on there that is your iphone. Double click the folders in there until you see the one with all your pics in there. Just drag and drop them to your desktop. Go to tinypics.com and upload each. Make them "messageboard size" in the drop down. Copy the BB picture embed code and paste it here. Thanks for the long response Kepa! Shout out to Kepa's new Mage Dungeon video. Totally understand about the dual currency. Maybe have a separate progress bar for the idols so for every 10 you get a random bonus pack with x number of idols in it. Maybe each idol counts as credit towards spinning a wheel for more idols. Perhaps each boss you beat rains down some idols and they're only there for a few secs so you gotta try to grab as many as you can real quick.
Yeah, shame on you devs for not being clairvoyant and knowing ahead of time exactly what price everything should be to make every single player happy and keep you in business at the same time.
On IAP Normally I hate high priced IAP, too but I think this game is an exception because unlike other similar games Punch Quest is actually GOOD. I'm not a freeloader, I am prepared to pay for quality. This is by far the iOS game I've played the most last year. Its also the best iOS game of 2012 imo. I've bought so much Punch Quest IAP I have lost count by now (over 250$ worth at least) and I don't regret a single cent.
...and one day, you're device will have a hiccup; you will lose you saved data; and all that will remain of those 250 dollars is a memory...memories that, god willing you live long enough, you'll be able to share with your grandchildren. And they will tell their children's children of a more glorious time. Your Punch Quest progress will live a thousand lives; long past civilization itself; a tale woven into the collective subconscious, passed from lip to ear, as alive as the heartbeat of an infant. Some will say it was nothing more than folktale...ha! Were Homer and Josepheus but bards? It will live.
Actually, as long as he cloud syncs, he will keep all his items that he purchased. Im guessing he doesnt just let hundreds if dollers of punchis sit in his account and he actually uses thrm. Hence, as long as he syncs, he should be fine.
Are you sure that the clous sync still works if the app is removed from the only device it's installed on, or all devices, for that matter? I've found precious few games upload cloud saves properly...IB2, GOF2 for example. Those you can delete, reinstall 6 months later, and pull down your saves.
Thinking about slipping in a price reduction for belts this update, so they'd be 200k/300k/400k/500k. Perks/upgrades/normal hats are staying where they are, that seems to be the right price for them.
I have to ask...has the game gotten easier? It's wierd...I just now have become addicted to this game despite having had it installed since release day. I leveled up Gnomey for the first time...devs, I dig your king of humor . This game will forever sit in a folder next to Time Ducks; rareified company on my device (yeah, I know this was GOTY or close to it and no one plays Time-Ducks; I just roll that way). I still have a question about the normal hats. They have a powerup attached? If so, how do you know which one?
Normal hats are just normal no powerups. I just watched a gameplay video of time ducks the game looks wacky as hell. Is it worth my 99 cents?
Have you watched the 2 official trailers? If not, you should. Best. Game trailers. Ever. This is another developers' thread, so PM me if you want me to try to explain it to you and send some video links. It is the only game I know of that has TWO in-house bands.
It is clear that this game is now turning to a serious in app purchases angle in there game. I fully disagree.
This game always had an iap angle, so i dont know what yer whining about. Yea it has iaps, but also its a blast of fun to play and is worth every penny one feels like investing.
