Some of those unlocks such as Rockfall Key have become default in the last update, so aren't visible in UPGRADES anymore.
There have been some iOS devs who ventured into the android market and eventually pulled back out and decided to just stick with iOS only. Mika Mobile was one of those. Due to the vast amount of various hardware setups on android they ended up having all their time soaked up with support. It apparently got so bad that they just up and quit the android scene altogether. There really are pros and cons to each and marketshare isn't everything. That being said, I do wish them well and hope it generates the revenue this game deserves.
Thankfully Noodlecake will take care of all of the malarkey the you describe, and I basically have to do nuh'in'. Works for me.
Great news, I'll tell all my Android using friends that this is the most addicting game I've ever played on a phone. I won't tell them I spent about USD 50 mostly to get hats (since I have tons of Punchos anyway so yes I wanted the hats) because they'll think I'm weird Minor suggestion: I got used to it due to all my playtime, but IMO the 'Options' button is a bit hard to find - if I don't play for a couple days I have to remember it's under 'Punch Stats', not very intuitive for new players.
Oh thanks for reminding me, I was going to put an icon for options in the main screen. I even already made an icon with a wrench and EVERYTHING.
I literally did not play iOS games until I wound up trying Punch Quest out. What a cool game! In particular, I love the style. And the copious amounts of humor. And the intuitive, simple-but-not-easy gameplay. And that everything centers around punching. Those things are just excellently designed, even if everyone on my local leaderboard happens to be Ken-doll-naked at the moment. Really looking forward to the next updates! The teasers that occasionally drop in this topic have been getting my sweaty fists all hot and bothered. If I may ask... is there any chance that we can get some sort of marker placed on or around our current color selections at the color editor screen? I can't help but feel like that's missing, even if it doesn't usually crop up as a concern (Although there are a lot of shades of yellow pretty close together; I've been unsure which I had selected a few times). Actually, okay, it never comes up as a "concern". But, for your consideration, something like this: Also, a way to save our wardrobe choices (Including colors) so we can switch straight from one outfit we put together and loved to another would be killer. Especially as those outfit choices keep getting expanded... eh? Eh? Maybe? One last thing... the gnome egg stage is boring to me. It doesn't feel like it's as engaging as the laser raptor egg; my strategy is to just mash uppercuts until finally a giant bee (Or is the gnome small? I guess it's the way you look at it) randomly nails me. Avoiding spikes and dodging or destroying rocks in the other egg stage involves quick thinking and pushing buttons the right way. With the giant bees, there doesn't seem to be any use in trying to be quick-witted and skillful! Am I missing something? And I'm surprised there isn't a third egg level; only the laser raptor (Which is a great sort of mini-game, low stakes but engaging play. Love it) and the gnome (Careen along wildly until you are stopped at random by a buzzkill. Tend to close my eyes for this one). Okay, that was way too much griping. Punch Quest is awesome and I love it. Hope it's been a rewarding experience for the creators as well!
Already done for the next update! Was considering adding this for each character, i.e. loadout and customizations saved separately for the male and female. We'll see... Yes, you are, in fact. The bees stingers are on their bums, which are low. The gnome can float very high. And he's good at diving... We have a third egg level, just haven't had time to put it in yet! But it's coming... not this next update, but the one after Xmas.
I keep avoiding upgrading Punch Quest because of the warning message about the update. Is that fixed in the next update?
Yeah... though if you don't have a gnome over level 50 then you shouldn't have a problem with the current update.
Has the game done better for you since going to 99 cents and tweaking the IAP? Seeing that your planning multiple updates (maybe not as large as before) I hope this is a sign of success? It's by far top 5 favorite game for me on IOS this year (perfect to play on the Ipad Mini) so more updates etc and deserved success would be good news.
It hasn't done a whole lot better as paid, really. And paid sales fall off quickly. Still trying to figure it out.
...seriously how can this not be 1 on app store Better than most games I've played On a sadder note my iPod is broken
When you say a gnome of level 50, do you mean if you got a hat from the gnome? Because I got a hat from the gnome. So I wait?
You're not supposed to actually punch the PUNCH buttons. crunc, no... if your gnome is CURRENTLY over level 50, then you should deify him first.
crunc yeah, just check the gnomes LVL when you're in the quest summary screen next time, after a run. If the LVL is less than 50, i.e. 23/60 then you are OK to update.
