Those are the things you need to buy and equip for the current quests. Absolutely brilliant game! I see a some people here talking about rocket cat's backlog ,are there more games they made besides mage gauntlet? I wouldn't call one other game(wich is also brilliant) a backlog so did i miss something?
They made the "Hook" series of games, as well: "Quick Hook", "Super Quick Hook", etc. There's a lite version of the first one in the series available to try; they're kind of like obstacle-laden, somewhat-physics-focused runners. Search for "Rocketcat Games" in the App Store and they should all pop up!
I don't know how they've set up the high scores, but I don't care either. Boosts should be an occasional bonus, not a frequent one. Any game that requires constant spending on this kind of item has thrown itself off balance. Doing several runs to earn a boost sounds just fine to me. The only one that seems high is the level 9 boost, since you might as well just practise getting there yourself rather than being lazy and starting there. So for that reason, I don't intend to buy it, voiding the issue of it being too pricey.
I have an idea here, guys! For those of us interested in something like a Coin Doubler but don't want to ruin the main game's skill advancement, how about a permanent IAP that makes all Boosts and Costume stuff permanently half price? Maybe something like the "Gnomish Outlet Mall"?
Hm, or buy one boost, get one free! Whatever is easier to implement Though hm, that wouldn't work for costumes.
^er... that might make the game too easy and too quick to complete. I prefer double punchos. Dont want the game to be over too fast. EDIT: My bad... just realized the half price was only for boosts and hats. Carry on.
Uh, what? That'd be the exact same thing, just different implementation. Either you earn say 1000 Puncho's with the doubler making it 2000, and you buy 2 boosts, or you earn 1000 and with the boosts doubler get 2 boosts.
A coin doubler would be weaker, as it would just double coins from chests, bags, maybe monsters. You get a lot of the coins from gnome quests and idols, so it wouldn't be quite "double profits". We will probably do the coin doubler, will think about the half-price on boosts and cosmetic items one, though.
Hey Kepa, if you're still around, would you mind explaining what the "Master Foes" are for the quest that asks you to kill 10 of them? My first assumption was that they were the top-tier, blue enemies, but I'm pretty sure I've killed some of them since getting the quest and the counter hasn't budged from 0. I could also be wrong on that one, though. Thanks, and thank you in addition for making an incredibly fun, deep game! Hat's off to you and Madgarden!
well you dont really care for highscores and you not going to buy bonuses, than what's your point? for sure you can just have fun with this really great game, but if you look from highscores point of view than it's a bit different. you can buy a lot of iaps and use bonuses every game and this is not really balanced. that is exactly what i was saying. it has nothing to do with how you see this game. probably you was just not addicted to previous rocketcat games, spending really a lot of time trying to beat top scores lol and therefore dont care about such stuff.
Any of the top tier enemies. The blue orcs (blorcs), the purple wraiths, blue bats, red imps... defeating any of those should increase that counter. If it doesn't, that's a bug. Waiting for more confirmation on this though, this is the first I heard about it ever. Eev: Probably the best boost is the armor hearts one, but even that is designed to not last long. They'll help you in the beginning, but it's not like we're even selling resurrection items or anything. That and we need to have some money sinks, since the upgrades are so cheap. I don't think we'll be lowering the prices for any of the boosts.
Okay then; my guess is I just thought the second-from-the-top tier was the top tier. My mistake. Farthest I've gotten on a consistent basis has been Red Wraiths and Orcs with shields. I think I've seen a few blue bats, but probably no more than five all-told. I assume they start showing up around level 10-ish? Thanks for the quick reply!
