Is it just me or has the game's shop been all offline since the update? I've been trying since this update to restore my double punchos to no avail. I'll give the game my Apple ID login info and it seems to then just hang at "accessing shop" until I give up or get some "unable to connect" message. I always love situations where the game will state you have no Internet connection even though you're currently on the developer's Facebook page via the app.
a little worried about the power slam being removed in the update's description. is it totally removed and replaced with a different skill? or?
Is it just me, or can everyone watch more than 10 videos a day? It says you can watch up to 10 a day, and I've seen like 17 already. More punchos I guess
What? You can tolerate Minigore grinding but not this one? Then again you might have bought the coin doubler in that game. I think freemium essential goes with grinding, we really can't win against that. When the grind is enjoyable (no bloody "cooldown" timer, lots of variety) I suppose that alone is enough to call it an acceptable freemium. Wonder if Madgarden has figured out what went wrong with the shop.
@SS: well said. At least it proves that the devs have managed to pull off monetization (no stigma with the word) in freemium the right way, ironically.
You are excluding puncho reward from Gnomey deifying, which earns you 50000 each time - provided you get the doubler. Idolizer enables you to net more than 1000 punchos per run as well. Don't focus on the bad side
Yes, they just keep recycling through and you get to do the same quests with the same gnomes over and over and over and over and over again. Not sure if this latest update has added any addition content in regards to that. Probably wont find out anytime soon.
That's a load of bullcrap and you know it. Even if you pour tons of cash on Punch Quest all you'll get is a complete inventory and exclusive cosmetic stuff. The latter is, of course, awesome, but no money can get you an 1 million high score if you ain't good at it. No, I haven't reached 1mil yet, my best is 470k, even though I got myself the doubler and a few more puncho packs. Anyway, finally get round to checking out the game after the latest update. Did you guys get rid of the perk or smth section? I rarely use it, but it's pretty confusing to see Ultra items taking its place. Took me some minutes to realize Ultras are no longer inside the Customize section. Kind of an, well, off decision? You think those perks are barely ever used by players, sure kiss them goodbye, but Ultras are ultimately items to wear, why exclude them from Customize? Edit: Riiiight so the Boosts are in the Game Over menu, noticed that just now. My question still remains. Also a bit diappointed that Wardrobe is still limited to 2 slots. Btw if you guys plan to change that later, I also suggest adding a Shuffle color button.
I like to think that the act of punching everything is pretty fun even without unlocking every single item. And yeah, we shuffled stuff around because the BOOSTS were not in a convenient location to use for those that do use them. So it made sense to move them to the RETRY screen. Also ULTRA items were a bit buried, so we moved them up. I suppose I could have still linked them from the CUSTOMIZE screen as well, might do that in another update. Could probably add more character slots too, I think we only added one so we didn't come off as GREEDY DEVS 1STAR. But really, it's all about the snakes.
Did you know that if you were to eat everything in a restaurant it would cost thousands of dollars?! What a rip off. I'm never eating out again.
If you make the wardrobe limitless or with a considerably high limit, nobody can feel any restrain and they will just assume that they are supposed to buy as many slots as they feel like having. Yeah the snakes (or is it snak?) are a bit of a tricky bunch. A second of forgetting to uppercut them and you lose a heart or two. The level with snake vases falling from the sky is awesome. Also appreciate the little flashy bits you guys put here and there (disco light for rainbow food or whatever, more sparks for the miserable Skullcracker, on the Buy Puncho button of all places...)
