    General Observations.

So I've been playing for about two months now(All grind, no pay), and here are some things I think might help people:

    Reaching Gnorb
Go to Gladiator mode, and equip the Flying Fist ultra hat. Since you need to reach a certain distance to get to the Gnorb--If you're lucky enough to get tornado punch or hyper fighting(some others float too)...You can practically fly across the map without even encountering an enemy until the Gnorb. With variations of this setup, I've gotten 30 second air times.
Fighting him is kinda tricky. Just make sure your timing is good when you punch his homing carrot bombs back at him(Hurts him most)

    Bosses
Everyone pretty much knows to jump punch Cyclops in the eye, uppercut skull while he's low, and down overhand the eye in it's brain. Here are some other interesting things I've found out:

-If you want to build up your ultra/super meter, jump on the cyclops' spike on his head--Doesn't hurt you, but builds up almost half of your meter..You can also jump over him and let him jump/land on you.

-The floating eye boss moves away with your punches(Like some wraiths). It will be difficult to jump on his head if you keep chasing him w/ dash punches. You wait for him to extend his arm, then dash jump downcut. After he flips out and does his 360 arm, block so you don't move forward, and right as he's about to flip out, he won't move away, so just bonk him again. It should be 3-4 quick hits w/ no chase.

-Going to a boss area is also a very easy way to reach the 1000 meter accomplishment. Jump over the cyclops with hyperfighting/Flyin Fist or big dash. After you're over him, you can dash miles as he chases you. Once he gets close, he'll try to jump over you. Just jump to block him--You'll gain a ton of super meter, and he'll stay behind you. With the skull just keep Big Dashing, once he gets low, block...repeat. Flying eye is harder but same premise.

    Best setups for Achievements

    Breaking Torches:
PowerSlam/SkullCracker--This combo eats torches alive(My best 39 in 1 game)
50 hit big dash, 100 hit combo, 150 enemies in one game:
Husk Musk/ShieldBuster/Knuckle circle^Thunder punch^Hyper fighting--Be sure to always chose the path with the fist icon when available--Treasure icons are worst. Jump punch then downcut torches, they are good ways to extend your combos.

Special note on 150 enemies achievement: Hallucinations and creatures in the egg games DO count as enemies--I would suggest going to all egg areas if possible for 0 risk kills.

    25 rocks:
Hardest one IMO. Play really well in the Raptor Egg game(Hold down jump button while in air to float) and do it in one try. Also encounter rocks in the "!" areas.

    Tips on fighting enemies:

Red Jumping Skeleton--Obviously best choice is to not jump over him. However; if you're in a situation where you're jumping a fireball and you must jump over the skeleton...The slam punch does actually beat his upwards spear, jumping spear, anything...Where the straight punch will lose everytime.

Bats--Always approach bats at slow speed and the second you jump, make sure you press your right punch button. The faster your straight punch is out, the higher your chances are of killing all bats.
Basically...You see a bat, then Jump(A), Right(B), slam(A), then punch them(B) into the next enemy. Bats die in 1 hit, but they are an easy 4 hit combo+chain into next foe.

Wraiths--The only Wraith you want to mess with regularly is the one who's hands warn you of when he's going to throw his fire. The dead hand wraiths you need to be very careful and try to avoid them if possible. The exception is when they are slightly in the air, you should just keep dash punching them(Fireballs will go over you or they won't get thrown). If they are really low to the ground, don't even mess with them. They move in accordance to your dash punches. If you need to keep a combo going, then jump and slam punch the top of their head(Don't land in front of them).

Exploding zombies--These guys always mess up your combos. Make SURE if he's already flashing by the time you reach him...UPPERCUT him. They die fast to uppercuts. You cannot block their explosions, so if he's been flashing for a while JUMP/DASH punch over and away from his explosion. Thunderpunch combos usually fall short due to these guys.

    General Advice

-You should all make sure you get the flying fist ultra hat. Flying fist is by far the best 1st tier equip. It allows you to control yourself very precisely. Almost never are spikes or fireballs/fire an issue. If you're about to land on a fireball, just float punch a few more times. If you're about to float into a fireball, just slam punch downwards.

-I feel the best way to get punchos without paying money is Quest Mode with Idolizer equipped(Idols give lots of punchos.) And always choose either Treasure/Boss trails. I avg about 900 punchos per run this way.

    COMBOS

-Always always include torches in your combos. They are essential in getting the number higher and chaining one area to the next.

-Moving slow and timing your power meter is good. The slower you move, the better you're going to prevent getting swooped by bats or squids.

-If you are punching something and you feel that there's not another enemy behind him for some ways...Punch the Foe slowly and increase the distance you travel with it in front of you, so you can reach the next enemy without losing your combo chain w/ too much free time inbetween.

-I think best config for super high combos is Flying fist, shield breaker, and thunder punch or knuckle circle.

Hope this helps some newer players...I play too much lol.

Glad to see people create accounts just to comment on the game, really tell how good this game is.

I was pretty keen on the flying fist power at first, but then, I don't know, I just lost my touch with it, and now using it becomes a major pain for me. I like Hungry man more, it's very helpful though sometimes rather random. I also dig Husk musk, it's pretty much hardcore mode and it helps when I'm trying to defeat 150/200 enemies.

Played a few runs today, still one of the best runners. I'm in a good mood, and seeing that people are still rocking with this game, I think I'm gonna share my experience as well. It's about the Super Moves.

Grillin Punch: The first and arguably the least helpful Super. Turning defeated foes into projectiles is something you can normally do with Steam Buster or Power Slam. Heck, you basically do that with skulls, bats and squids all the time. The extra fire damage is not worth it. It works better if you punch a heap of skulls, however that's not a common object. Make do with this until you can get your hand on fancier moves!

Skullcracker: Double damage, double mayhem. Okay it's not that awesome, but it's a cool-looking skill nonetheless. Make it seem like you're punching with firecracker! This one should become somewhat handy if you're in a pinch, but since enemies die faster, don't punch mindlessly or you may run out of foes to keep your combo counter running. This is a melee move, so Shieldbuster or El Reflecto will be useful.

Deadsplosion: A more destructive version of Grillin Punch. Turning bats and squids into bombs is the obvious trick, really help cleaning the way. Be sure to keep running though, or you are very likely to end up with an empty dungeon, enemies already blown to bits, or to put it simple, lose your combo. This move is pretty useless with bosses, so stay away from such dungeon segments when rocking this.

Ki Barrage: You gain more reach now that every dash punch and jab are powered-up with ki. This is a hit or miss, as better range means you can extend your combo and punch more enemies without getting close to them, but at the same time it can push enemies away from you. Also keep an eye on flying enemies. Trying getting an Ultra of this, the reach is insane.

Exploding Fist: A good one to thin out the herd, especially in caves. Remember that only solid punches count. Since you're more likely to jab a lot on the ground, to trigger explosions more often try throwing a couple of uppetcuts and slams. But DON'T keep trying to make solid punches, jabs are important to get a few extra hits. Also keep your eyes open, with fire and smoke everywhere you might not see a fireball coming. This move works wonders against bosses.

Knuckle Circle: A very safe choice. These stone fists protect you from everything except spikes, and they can regenerate themselves. But do not make too many dash punches or those fist will punch everything out of your way, leaving you nothing to build up combos! Try a few uppercuts to slow down and let the fists launch some enemies to the air. Protect yourself when the fists regenerate!

Drillin Punch: My favorite. This one takes a while to get used to, but it is an awesome combo making tool! As jumping becomes awkward when equipping this move, be careful around spikes. A melee move like this one might need Shieldbuster or El Reflecto to be less risky. Stay away from bosses, such fights require a lot of jumping - something Drillin Punch hinders.

Hyper Fighting: A quite tricky move. The double speed requires good reflex and Shieldbuster/El Reflecto to keep you from hurting yourself in the process of punching frenzy. Benefit? Quick combo. This one is great when you have to confront a horde of orcs or zombies, but horrible if you are to run through bats or squids. Fortunately combined with Flying Fist, this move can help you fly over dangerous areas. Not for amatuers!

Shodukin: Punch to shot out punches! I'm quite keen on this one. It's fairly easy to use, not very hard to master. This has more range than Ki Barrage and less push, but it still doesn't cover you from attack from above, so better eliminate those bats and squids soon. Warning: fireballs might approach when you're busy spamming punches.

Thunderpunch: Now this is fun stuff. It's definitely one of the coolest, if not THE coolest Super of the game. But it's not perfect. Only solid punches generate lightning, so include uppercuts and slams here and there. The lightning travels randomly and it's gonna be ugly if it trigger those zombies' self-destruct mode before you can finish them off. The visual effect of this Super is very flashy, so you should probably know what I'm gonna say by now: sneaky fireballs.

Also check out Kepa's tips and YouHeDad's post! Btw YouHeDad you should at least buy the doubler so that the devs can deliver more. Speaking of which I wonder if there're any updates coming...

Quick question about the game: when you have an ultra hat, do you have to have the skill unlocked for its effect to work?
For example, i now have a hat with husk musk, which was the next skill i was going to buy so im very happy with it. But it is one of those skills that is hard to tell if it is in effect or not, im wondering if i must actually buy husk musk for the skill to work? I'd rather not waste the punchos if i dont have to, though!

Since I've started playing, I've purchased over 10 ultra hats.

I've gotten like ~5 Highercuts, ~3 Bull Rush, ~2 Flyin' Fist, 1 Big Dash and 1 Husk Musk

What's the deal with that? There are 13 skills, and I've only ever gotten 5, two of which I only ever use.

It's really not that fun when you pay once for the game, then again for punchos doubler and then receive the same useless moves over and over and over, when there are great moves supposedly available.

Before anyone gets highly offended as to how 'entitled' I may seem, in the end, I know it's just a game. But a game shouldn't infuriate you time and time again, after collecting 100,000 punchos (which ain't no easy task), just to 'award' you the same recycled rubbish.

Coupled with in-app purchases, is it too far-fetched to imagine that lower tier skills are far more common in the supposedly 'random' roll? Not for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game, and the fact that I've invested so much time into it shows that. But if I receive Highercut 50 times, I want it crossed off the list of intrinsic skills forever.

    Android version, by the way.

Wasn't one of the last updates supposed to fix this?

Same thing initially happened to me though and it wasn't until I started re-rolling them that I got a bit of variety.

    Currently I've got:
    Ki Blast x 2
    Quick Slam
    Dull Pain x 2
    Big Dash
    Hungry Man
    Ragevenge

I only ever use the Ki Blast though (mostly because I don't like the way the other ones look).

There are 42 individual hats available for purchase.

I just purchased 2 ultra hats.

I received 2 sedge hats in a row.

You seriously can't make this stuff up.

Welp, that's it for me I think.

If you're playing the Android version, I assume there is a customer support option in the app. Have you used it to inquire about this?

I've spent over $35 for Punch Quest IAPs and the sudden appearance of full screen ads following the last update is a real kick in the guts!

It's absolutely unacceptable in my book and that'll be the last time I ever send any money through to Madgarden or Rocketcat games. Very disappointed.

I dunno, that Eyelord game looks kinda cool. Whoa black skeleton hand. This is Chartboost, it's used for cross-promo of other apps that we like, and you click the X and it goes away. Sorry to have annoyed you with it. But hey, this is the business though, whether we like it or not.

    Hilarious...
Plenty of other developers are switched on enough to realise the future loyalty benefit of having any IAP forever removing all advertising from that game / app for said purchaser.

Yeah we could probably do that. Especially when we put in ads that we're actually paid for. We don't get paid for the cross-promotion thing we have now, we're just trying to help out developers we like with once-a-day banners. It's either that or make it more clear that money's not changing hands, which I assume makes it harder to complain about the once-a-day banners.
