I did have to reroll my hats quite a few times till I got the one I wanted. What if instead of completely randomized, it randomizes a single list. Then once it's refilled every item from that list, it starts anew. That might help rerolling a hat consecutively. Makes sense in my head. Hope I explained it properly. Also weighing in on the drill punch comment by squashy. I too feel the drill punch isn't quite as wild as before. Less air time perhaps?
The drillin' punch is a little different, as it is more based off of your normal jump height. If you have highercut it will stack better with it now, etc.
Gnorb?? I read that you get a gnorb when you reach 1,500 punchos in a single run of Spartan mode, but I've reached 1,700+ and still haven't run into a gnorb. Anyone know how to actually reach a gnorb? He looks cool. P.S. I played Spartan mode obsessively for a week to reach 1,500 punchos... got past level 22 at one point... really can't figure out why I haven't run into Gnorbie yet
The Gnorb's temple is at the end of the Eight Trials of Spartan Punching. Has nothing to do with punchos/level.
Whew! Thread got big here. I'm sure this has been brought up, but what are the general thoughts on how grindy this has become? I bought the doubler and it still feels like it is taking forever to get anywhere. I would have thought that I would have been progressing at a much higher rate after doing so. I love the newer Power additions, like Bam Grief (not a Zangief fan on this planet that wouldn't love this. Grief? Gief? ) and Shadow Step, and of course the new super move, Thunderpunch. Very cool. I am looking forward to getting Air Wolf, but I am still grinding I wonder what Ernest Borgnine would say?
I don't find the game very grindy. Takes me about 2-3 day to reach a god up. So after a week or 2 I can afford more rerolling or ultra belts. I have been wondering, what does the "mystic" hats have? I cannot tell if that's a crest or something that looks like ...lips?
Oh geez, I just now realized that Bam Grief is a reference to Zangief. Makes a lot of sense, now! Thank you.
Well it's f2p, whaddaya expect? Still, this one is a gem compared to other crappy f2p and once you know which skill setup is for you, making punchos will no longer be a pain
Yeah, don't like it, don't play it. Pretty simple. Realities of F2P means it has to be done a certain way or we don't get paid.
Final met the Gnorb! Man the Spartan mode is so random, I wouldn't have been able to get that far if I hadn't gotten that rather good setup for the situation - Shadow Step+Disco Cut+Hyper Fighting to deal with a bunch of Orcs n Blorcs. And to think I am not a big fan of Hyper Fighting. Still, lost to that pretentious Gnome (is he a gnome?) since I wasn't sure how to hurt him. well, next time I won't be so green! Lol so next time turned out to be the game I played right after posting this. Now my Spartan top score is even higher than my Quest one, reaching >400k. Heck, never saw this day coming.
Hey guys, it is a fact that I am looking forward to an update with less random ultra hats. That is a fact I wanted to share today.
Hey, got a quick question, do you stop being able to get punchos with sharing your score after awhile? Or is mine bugged out? I haven't been able to see the extra punchos over the share button over the last few days and was just wondering.
Yep, you can only get a certain amount of punchos from sharing score. Can't do that forever. Welcome to the forum.
Can the ultra hats have any of the tier 1 skills? And can the hats be ones from tiers you haven't unlocked? For instance I still need to buy more hats to be able to buy the top hat, but can an ultra hat I get be a top hat?
