Isn't Gnomey the dude giving you the missions? That's kinda how I read into it and figured maybe you get a hat for finishing them all. Since there are multiple of these hats I'm guessing you just repeat the missions.
That seems more like a shortcut to get the hats though. Finishing all of the missions seems more probable
My missions are starting to cycle back to the beginning (I'm just a hair over Level 40), but no sign of an Ultra Hat (or one having been unlocked for purchase). It might be because I skipped some of the missions with the 1000-puncho buy option just because they would have taken forever and a day otherwise (Break 40 rocks, I'm looking at you)... but I doubt that would have invalidated the reward, if it was to be given.
The gnome XP level must reach 100 in order to ascend the gnome to godhood. The update makes this more apparent in the display (LVL 40/99) etc.
Gotcha. Thanks, Paul! Looks like I have a ways to go yet, then. Am I correct in assuming that the 'Ultra' in Ultra Hat means you get a fourth stage of your power-up bar, and can hold an ultra in addition to a super?
We're adding new characters in an update. Also, Gnomey's level requirement gets much lower after the update, for the first Ultra Hat. Each time you get one, he resets to 0 and his max level goes up by 10 for the next round. He starts at 50, and maxes out at 100. So it'll take 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 levels for the first 6 hats. They just look ultra fancy. Except there's an unlock that you can get called Hat of Legends, that can make an Ultra Hat get a built-in Power I skill. You can then have two Power I skills, if you wear one.
mayby you culd have a coin dubbler iap? I want to give you guys mony, xD but the fun in the game for me is to collect coins and buy hats and stuff. to buy alot of coins cinda ruins the fun if you know what i mean? love the game, and hope it will do awesome for you guys
Anyone know an easy way to kill the torches? 15 in a game is seriously difficuilt. I use the uppercut, then the downuppercut, takes 2 hits to break a torch, but its still pretty hard. thoughts? I love the game!
Just wanted to chime in that this game is badass! Loving every bit of it! I have a question though: what's the Temple Run idol for? I'm pretty sure I punched it but nothing happened, it's not in the collected idols either. Also, could you guys maybe, possibly consider adding plated armor and a knights helm? I want my guy to look like Arthur from ghosts n goblins. he would fit awesomely here.
Not all the things you smash are idols. There's also a bitizen from Nimblebit's games as well as a few others. I think they're basically cooler vases that are an Easter egg. Just thought I'd chime in though - the trackers for some of the quests are insanely annoying at times. For example, "destroy 15 torches in one game". It counts up along with the current progress, but starts at the last maximum you've obtained for the mission. As in, I was stuck at 14 torches for a while, and whenever I started a new game the pause menu counter said "14/15". Destroying another torch made it go up to 15 and so on. Same thing with the counters for "kill 100/200 enemies in one game". I couldn't care less what my maximum was in previous runs, I want that stat to track my current progress so I know whether to adjust my strategy or not.
The way I like to do it is to start with an early uppercut jump that doesn't hit the torch, then dash punch to jab the torch, then a SLAM punch to knock it down. Works every time. Echoseven, NOTED
Planned for third update (currently working on second). They'll be character swaps. Some ideas we had before launch was armored characters for both genders, man in speedo, skeleton, robot.
Like so? (I was actually going to put in a picture of Borat, but I don't quite think that would be appropriate)
