400 seems a little high. How long should it take to get the very best, high-end items in the game? Like what's a reasonable time per item?
Um, redo your math. I've played the game for 187 hours of total gameplay. Given that I have the highest legitimate score on the total kills leaderboard, there is a decent chance I've played this game more than anyone. By your math, I should be less than halfway to a gnome hat. I know they upped prices since I bought most of the buffs, but still. Heck, I just made over 76k Punchos in one 90 minute run! And that's taking the Punchos Doubler off. And I'm not sure that's even a good rate. Sure, it's a grind to unlock everything, but your calculation is totally divorced from reality.
Yeah, agreed. I'm no expert (my highest score on classic mode is 273k), and in an hour I can make about 10-15k punchos, including completing quests. So that would be 15-20 hours to earn one ultra hat - with gnomey ascensions, maybe 10-15? That's no small amount, but it's not 400.
With punchos doubler it takes me 4 hours to collect enough coins for an ultra hat.. Why is there everything to be found in the stats window except total punchos collected?
Not to end the perpetually dizzying yet always interesting state of App Store games and the influence of IAP's upon them discussion, but does anyone play on portrait mode? I find it to be a totally different experience, especially playing one handed. Not only is Punch Quest one of the best games available on the store, it is also handicapped accessible! Winning.
Hello there ! Just bought this game, as I a big fan of Mage Gauntlet, I couldn't miss rocketcat's new game ! I must say I enjoy the game a lot, even if some part of it seems like it got c/ced from Jetpack Joyride. Thanks kepa and Madgarden A few points that could be improved (imo) : - would be glad to see some different transformations or vehicles in those eggs - maybe a little tutorial when you play the game for the first time (even if it's easy, I feel like I didn't get everything, like the combos, or how to handle specific ennemies) - the game feels like it's going to be an endless grind. The items seems SOOO overpriced compared to what I earn each run... Even after buying the doubler item ! I've been playing a few hours, and I'm beginning to worry that I won't ever be able to buy the big items, or the alternative mode... Still enjoying the gameplay, but it feels frustrating to know I won't be able to play some parts of the game if I don't buy those coins with real € !
1. There is a new egg coming in the next update that was submitted last night. GOATICORN. Super fun to play, my favorite so far. 2. Prices have been adjusted down a bit for next update. Nothing feels out of reach for me. I don't use a coin doubler but I'm well on my way to getting enough Punchos for an ultra hat with my one gnome ascended so far and what I've been collecting in game.
Maybe this is where it breaks down for me. 4-8 hours of a game that the average play session is 2-3 minutes.. for 1 hat. That just doesn't work out to long term appeal for me personally. How many ultra hats are there? I've spent money and played the game probably about 7 hours (lost my stats half way through to one of the bugs). I love the game - but I feel like getting the ultra hats and belts quicker would make me more interested. Just my 2 cents. Either way I've really enjoyed this game since release and even want back to finish Mage Gauntlet after playing it.
About the 2., I'd like to know what your secret is, cause I've just reached level 50 on my gnome, and I only have 40k coins in my bank. I only spent money on the upgrades required for the gnome quests, so...
No secret. I just play because I like the game. You're about a third of the way to an ultra-hat! (with the new update that's been submitted, they're adjusted down to 150K from the 200K) Congrats! I think that's pretty good for a special item!
Looks like the Punch Quest update got approved in a mere 3 days. Should be trickling into the App Store store soon.
A little less. We did the things we were talking about. We're likely to reduce prices again for the most expensive items. Saw some good suggestions in the thread. Just don't want to go too far and end up in the situation we were before, where everything was way too cheap.
No don't go to cheap but what's weird is I bought the doubler but doesn't seem like much. ( guess I suck at the game) but don't go over price either. Hopefully the game get more noticed. The new mode got reduced to 150,000 I believe could have read it wrong.
Any chance of a Tier 1 power that is basically Hungry Man for idols (Would cause more idols to spawn)? I, uh... I like idols. I gotta agree.
After run it used to take you to stats. Now it goes to scores and it's always "fetching the score.." which lags for a sec and is abit annoying. Could you let us pick default menu or could you reverse it so it goes to stats again?
