Good to know. Sucks you missed championship. Hopefully that doesn't screw you out of content. A lot of trial and error in this. Instruction should be a bit more intuitive. Some things are simply too vague. Seems the devs have abandoned TA for the moment.
I didn't accept the ultimate fight once, and it's not come back as an option - I only get rookie league fights. Any idea how to get the other option back? It's been like 40 days without it being on offer.
I read on Dev Twitter that they will be updating the iOS game by the end of next week. Here's hoping.
As per mcarthon's comment about missing the championship due to not performing tasks in a certain sequence, it seems that the game needs to be amended regarding these shortcomings. These may be game ruining problems. If I experience this once, I will most certainly be shelving this due to inherent design flaws. We also have no guarantee that the devs are even aware or give a damn.
Gonna be waiting on a patch or two before getting this one. Love the concept but it seems execution could be better.
It does need to be. The penalties involved in simply playing the game are just too harsh. IGNs review (ugh) was actually spot on...surprisingly.
Just finished the game. Had a lot of fun but did run into a few bugs. The last half was a bit grindy and felt rushed but still worth $5. Looking forward to more content!
The ladder half of the game Spoiler after Roy dies is pretty disappointing but fun game overall I guess. An actual ongoing fight league with a post game would be nice.
Still trying to enjoy. If the devs had put some disclaimer in here that the IOS build wasn't 1:1 parity with the twitch build, I'd have held off but it's not like I wouldn't have bought it when it's patched so I'm just going to put it away for now. Just super impossible to enjoy. Glad the devs have gone silent. Seem more like the people to tell you "You're wrong, our game is fine." Instead of "We'll take all this info into consideration for the next build." Not that either stance is wrong or right.
Lol, got precisely the same feeling about the 'our game is fine type dev.' What's rlly pitiful is the devs' page 1 or 2 comments about the different builds for the different platforms and how the gamers' habits on these different platforms varies. Lamest part of the whole comment was that they think mobile gamers play for more extended periods of time relative to pc and console gamers getting the 1:1 build due I guess to their shorter session habits. Logic to this metric equates to zero. They have actuality reversed 100%.
That's weird. I would think mobile players have shorter play sessions, but more frequent sessions I really like supporting developers, especially small indies, and I am usually not a "wait for sale" guy when it comes to mobile because the games are already so cheap. But, in both mobile and consoles, it really does benefit the consumer to wait most the time. You get a more polished product for less money, because patches have released to address issues and add features and by then sales start happening. IMO, I think the first-week launch sale price is a good incentive for early adopters. They don't feel so burned when the thing they bought is now cheaper AND better. As a developer, I would also look into an "early adopter bonus" of some kind. Something like a skin, or a badge, that early adopters could have exclusively. At least then there's a good reason to buy during the launch window.
New Version is coming Hey Everyone -- There is an update coming for the iOS version. It's not the same as the Steam version yet as it takes Apple about a week to review your submission. Once that happens a new build will be updated and many of the little bugs you're running into will be fixed, along with the 4s scaling issues. Also -- there will be a big free content patch in the near future.
That's fine, most of us do. I don't have a Mercedes and an upstate weekend house even though I would like them, but I don't say they should lower their prices
Yeah, mobile gaming is known to have short spurts of gameplay and console/pc having longer sessions. This has been common knowledge and simple common sense. They gave iOS the build that would have been consoles/pc appropriate and mobile got a version comparable to standing in a Cold War bread line. Just kidding, but seriously.
