Lol only 2min into the game and already 3 major things wrong with it. 1. Seriously? There's no way to skip cutscenes, make text go faster or even pause text? Every single game I've ever played on iOS has always had the option to make text scroll faster by simply tapping it and the text won't advance to next section until you tap it. In this game you have to watch every single line of text slowly pop in with the typewriter fashion. If you were looking at something else other than the speech bubbles for a few sec, too bad, there's no way to pause text, they're gone forever unless you restart the game. That's pretty much one of the top ways to annoy users and one of the basics in UX design. 2. Also, no info on what any of the icons mean. Not only that, the icons are absolutely microscopic I can't even make out what they are. When I open the fridge and try to eat food, each food apparently gives some stat bonuses. I see some sort of smiley face, and some bolt-shaped icon. No idea what any of these mean. In fact it forces me to just randomly select one of them because there's no "back" button. As a first-time player I'm supposed to know what these stats mean? Why the hell is there no "back" button if I want to check the help screen (if there even is one)? How about add hovertips when I tap the icons?? 3. 2min into the game, got into the first ever randomly-generated fight. Opponent killed me in 2 hits and I was dealing 1dmg per hit. Wtf is this? Making the first fight in a game impossible to win? Unbelievable. Dev might need to revisit Game Design 101.
1. That's actually a legitimate issue, I kind of agree with you there. 2. There is a popup telling you what each stat is when you tap on them. There also is a back button in my game, except for when you first open the fridge (because you need to eat). 3. You're supposed to lose. The first fight isn't randomly generated. The whole point of the fight is to have Mick see you in trouble and help you out. And anyways, do you think a guy who's never fought will be able to beat a thug with a baseball bat? In conclusion, play the game for more than 2 minutes before judging it.
Wow, you rlly played for 2 whole min. I mean like 120 seconds. Whole game breakdown in 120 seconds, you must be a savant or far far far less.
Anyone know if there's a bug with stars after getting a manager? I did the movie shoot, won 3 fights and got no stars and now he's not offering any more jobs. I can't fight anywhere either to earn fame (stars)
Had a issue around there where I could click to shoot a movie etc but the fights or window would not begin and my rep and cash was still deducted
Hoped the fixes would fix some of the problems with progression. Strength and turtling build literally untouched. Agility got nerfed. Great lol
We've got a large update coming on March 10th New storyline! Over 3h of new superhero-themed content Cross-platform saves! And a couple more surprises. The Steam update launches on March 8th, and Android + iOS launches on March 10th.
Will there be any story-related additions/tweaks to the current main game? I am wondering if I should wait to play it, in case I will get more out of the main game after the update has landed.
There'll be a little bit of that on iOS. You can still start playing it now, and the additions will be done through a peculiar suitcase that appears in your house
No Fluffy NOOOOO!!!!! Today the game is going 40% off and we're launching The Dark Fist update! - Cloud saves between Android/PC/iOS - 3 Hours of New Content - A brand new hardcore mode!
i admit, i wasn't feeling compelled to buy the game, but this update drew my eye with the vigilante thing, and then i saw.. Fluffy.. so i just hit buy
Yeah pretty sure the grind has been fixed. I've been able to balance working, sleeping, eating so far. On my second league fight and lost my first fight down to the wire
Would love a bit more comments on the topic of grinding. It is the only thing that is holding me off right now .... Besides clash Royal
Punch Club had a ton of rebalancing done since it launched on iOS originally We update the Steam game almost every week, and try to bundle up updates for iOS -- they're more difficult to fix as you might imagine
Apparently it was a pain in the ass kind of grind to level stats and survive. That has definitely changed as I've only been mugged once and find it easy to maintain food, sleep, working out and fighting. Before some people could not continue. I'm loving this game. Glad I waited for the Rebalance. But away!
